Chapter 1 - UA, Here I Come

I couldn't believe it, after two hours I was still in shock. I made it into UA and not only that, I got in the hero course in class 1-A! I got 93% on the written exam and absolutely smashed the practical exam by placing 5th.

My quirk is called 'Water blast'. I drain small particles of moisture from the air that surround me into my body. I then make the particles multiply in size and number. Finally I am able to shoot the water out of my hands at any speed and temperature I want. If I push it to the absolute limit, the water I shoot out can break through concrete. I am also able to shoot ice and boiling steam from my hands although I prefer to not use my ice for. . . personal reasons. The only drawback is that if I overuse my quirk, I get dehydrated and pass out which is why I have to be constantly drinking water. I work best near bodies of water. The boundaries of my quirk have not yet been discovered so there might be more to it, who knows,

It was only one week until my first day so everyday I was training my absolute hardest. I needed to be at my very best. There was something that was still distracting me though:

Would I meet my soulmate there?

My first day had finally rolled around. I woke up extra early, put on my uniform, had breakfast and waved goodbye to my parents as they wished me good luck.

While on the train I decided to make myself a checklist for the day that I had to complete by the end of it.

1. Get to school on time.

2. Find my classroom.

3. Have at least one friend.

I finally made it to U.A, yes! I mentally crossed No. 1 off of my list.

As I was about to open the door to walk inside I heard a very familiar voice call out to me.

"(Y/N), is that you?!" The voice called out. I turned around and saw a familiar cute, round face with huge eyes and short brown hair.

"Ochaco?!" I shouted in disbelief. The girl ran up to me and we engulfed each other in a hug. "Wow, I didn't realise how much I missed you until you came in for that hug. We haven't seen each other for ages." I said chuckling.

"I know right!" she said smiling widely. "Say, what class are you in?"

"1-A, the hero course."

"Oh thank goodness, I thought I'd have to find it all on my own." She said. With that we went in search of our classroom. I now realised that I should have worded my checklist better.

2. Find my classroom.

    3. Have at least one new friend.

We wandered around the school for a while until we eventually found the room we had been searching for. I saw a boy with green hair in the doorway and Ochaco ran up to him and said "Hey, I recognise that messed up hair, falling boy!" she shouted. Once the boy got a good look at her, his face turned a furious shade of pink as he tried to cover himself with his arms as my friend continued to ramble on about how she was so excited to do orientation and meet everyone.

I guess I can finally cross No. 2 off.

This whole time I was standing to the side with a boy who introduced himself as Tenya Iida. I tried to hold in my laughter as best as I could at the scene in front of us when all of a sudden she was abruptly cut off by a voice behind her.

"If you're just here to make friends then you can pack up your stuff now." We all turned around and saw a man on the ground in the yellow sleeping bag. "Welcome to U.A's hero course." He said in a monotone voice. Then he pulled out some sort of food packet and sucked up the contents.

'What is that thing?!' We all thought. He then stood up and talked as he unzipped his sleeping bag.

"It took eight seconds before you all shut up, that's not gonna work. Time is precious, rational students would understand that." he said. I studied his appearance and concluded that he was probably a pro/teacher, but he looked so tired. He then walked into the classroom and spoke to everyone. "Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa, your teacher."

HUH?! He is our teacher? Oh god. "Right, let's get to it." He pulled out a blue suit with red and white details from his sleeping bag. "Put these on and head outside." Hmm, I wondered what we are doing, it's only our first day? We didn't question it much and headed to the changing rooms to put them on.
