   You had been a long time friend of the boys Izuku Midoroya and Katsuki Bakugou. But, you had been much closer to Izuku, saving him from the explosive blonde whenever you could. Because of your kidness, Izuku had always liked you. You were one of the parts of his life turning around for him. Before he met All Might, and before the sludge monster attacked him and Bakugou, he had asked you out on a date. You said yes, much to his surprise. Then not long later, he asked you to be his girlfriend, and you said yes.

But he had been feeling rather bad recently. You didn't go to U.A., you never wanted to pursue a hero career, so you two went to different school. You would only see eachother outside of school, and on the rare times he wasn't busy with the hard work it took to be apart of one of the top hero schools in Japan. He felt like he was neglecting you, barely spending any time with you, and rarely ever showing you affection.

He felt that you would be better of with someone better than himself. Someone at your current school, that would care for you, take care of you well, and be able to show as much as love as he wanted to show towards you.

"Maybe I should break things off. In a way where she can feel free to move on from me." He thought while doing homework one night.

He had gotten a text from you, making him think about it again. The text said, "Hey Izu haven't seen you in awhile, do you want to meet up some time?"

Izuku thought long an hard on it, and it took about an hour for him to finally respond, "Yea, lets meet at that park where we went on our first date, tomorrow after school. Your school is close, right?"

You responded quickly, "yea it is. I can't wait to see you ❤"

He smiled at the heart, but knew he shouldn't send anything back. He sadly put his phone down, sighing at the thought of what he was going to do.

  You were stunning, he couldn't miss you, standing under the biggest tree in the park. You had later discussed that you two would meet there. It was a rather quiet place of the park, and generally the park wasn't too crowded.

He took a deep breath, nervously walking up to you, "Hi (Y/N)."

"Izu!" You exclaimed, hugging him. He gently hugged back, not like he usually did. Thats when you realized something was off,

"Izuku, is something wrong?" You asked, as you let go.

He looked down, and up, and anywhere but straight at you. He didn't want to do this, but he knew it was better for you. He knew he wasn't the right person for you. You deserved better.

"(Y/N), I actually wanted to tell you something." He said.

You began looking nervous too, "O-Oh, wh-what is it?"
