Imagine 3 - "Daddy, where are you going?"

I never really liked using dialogue prompts before, but I saw an angst prompt that was something like "why are you leaving?" so I thought up this completely original* idea. I'm quite running out of ideas here

This follows an AU where said character written about is the reader's father. Not all of these will end with angst.

*Note the heavy sarcasm.

"Daddy, where are you going?"

Izuku Midoriya

Izuku looked away from the door towards his young daughter. He thought you were still taking a nap. But, maybe walking in and giving you a small kiss had woken you up.

"I-I'm going to go save some people in danger. I'll be b-back later, (Y/N)." He smiled sadly.

"But you're not wearing your cool costume! You're just wearing normal clothes!" You pointed out.

"Sometimes heroes save the day in normal clothes." He got on one knee to talk to you more face-to-face.

"B-but, not the cool heroes on the news! They always wear their costume! You're a cool hero, Daddy. You should be wearing your costume!" You exclaimed.

Izuku looked down at the ground, these were the moments when he regreted you liked pro-heroes so much.

"Wheres Daddy really going?" You asked, looking up at him.

He sighed, "D-Daddy is— going to go away for a little bit, but he'll be back some day. Okay? So be a strong girl for Mommy, and wait for daddy to come back."

You nodded, "Don't worry, I'll wait for Daddy to come back! I'll give him a big hug when he does!"

Izuku's eyes teared up. He really did love you, but having a family was overwhelming for a growing hero. He couldn't keep it up, being happy all the time. Izuku turned around, his hand holding the doorknob. He was seriously reconsidering what he was doing. He thought of his mom, she was a single mother, how hard she had worked for him, everything she sacrificed just for him.

"Daddy, is the doorknob stuck? Mommy was teaching me how to make the door unstuck, I just need that key thing to do it!" You said.

He smiled down at you, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand, "Daddy's going to go out to the store, while he's out. Do you want anything, sweetheart?"

"I ate all the apple sauce, can you get more please?" You asked.

"Of course, I'll be home soon." He kissed your forehead.

"Alright Daddy, bye-bye!" You giggled as he left the house.

He couldn't leave you like that, he couldn't do the same thing his father did to his family. Now he just needed to go to the store and get your apple sauce.

Katsuki Bakugou

Katsuki quickly turned around to see his 3 year old daughter. The room was only illuminated by the bright moon through the small window in the shitty apartment. Bakugou had made the mistake in life of not being careful and now was responsible of a child. It greatly affected him from becoming a hero, but he could never bring himself to leave before.
