Hanta Sero × Reader - Matchmaker

I really like soulmate AU stuff. I just fall for it, and I really love writing for it. This isn't a real Soulmate AU one shot, but it's pretty close.

Disclaimer: This one shot includes ships that others might not personally agree with, but its the most popular that I've seen or ones I personally like.

Reader's Quirk: Soulmate- You can see who other's soulmates are based on a red string connected to their fingers. Sometimes people don't have a string, or they have multiple. The only soulmate you can't see is your own.

You had always been the "Matchmaker" of your school. Ever since you gained your quirk, you felt it was your responsibility to help people get together with their soulmates. Even though you weren't exactly in a spot where you would be the largest center of attention. You were in the General Education Department, 1-C specifically. However you helped out 1st years and even 2nd or 3rd years. People were interested in your quirk, especially after the first match you made.

"Todoroki, Todoroki Shoto, right?" You asked the multicolored hair boy from Class 1-A.

"And, Izuku Midoriya!" You added, looking towards the green haired boy.

"Y-yes?" He asked nervously.

"You two like eachother, right! I can tell, the red string between you two is so strong. You should really get together. You both are meant to be, afterall!" You smiled.

"Excuse me?" Todoroki asked, confused. Midoriya was blushing even more. He did like Todoroki, but he didn't have the courage to admit that.

"Sorry, let me explain. My quirk is called Soulmate, it allows me to see those who are meant to be together forever. Your connected to your soulmate by a red string. And right there, you have a red string connecting you two. I can't force anything currently, but you two are meant for eachother. So, I wanted to let you two know. Good luck!" You explained, before walking off back to class.

After that day, Todoroki and Midoriya did actually get together. And this caused people to start going to you for relationship advice. You got many people together in the end. People in 1-A being the greatest relationships, in your opinion.

You'd matched several people like, Kaminari and Jirou, Ojiro and Hagakure, (420) even Bakugou and Kirishima in secret. You always wanted to match the teachers, but it felt disrespectful to go up to an adult and give them dating advice. You currently were helping Tokoyami and Tsuyu get together.

As you were walking home, you sighed in a bit of disappointment. Despite always helping people with starting a relationship, and those types of problems. You yourself didn't know about your soulmate. You always hoped you'd have one, and your mother, with the same quirk, refused to tell you if you did. Maybe one day you could be as happy as the couples you helped match.

"Hey (L/N)! Are you alright? You look a bit sad." Someone approached you.

"I recognize that voice." You thought.

"Hey- Sero, I-I haven't seen you walking this way before. O-of c-course I'm a-alright, why wouldn't I be!" You smile, pretending to be in a happy mood.
