Red Love (Kuroko no Basuke: Akashi Seijuro Fanfiction)

Chapter 6

Ai's Pov 

It had been a couple of weeks since I have been acting as Suki. It was already fall and it was starting to become cold. I wrapped a scarf around my neck and walked out the door of my home without saying anything to my parents. 

I started walking to my school. As I was walking, I kept on stepping on leaves that had fallen off of trees that were near the sidewalk. The leaves were really beautiful. 

I got used to being Suki and thought of the bright side. I can be with Akashi, but I have to pretend to be Suki. I just hope he never finds out the truth. 

I finally arrived at school and walked into my classroom. Mostly everyone was already there. I saw Akashi and Ayami were already there. I walked over to my desk and sat down casually. I took off my scarf and but it in my bag. 

"Ai." Ayami whispered so Akashi wouldn't hear. I smiled. At least someone who knows who I really am. 

"Yeah?" I answered. "We're having lunch together right?" She asked. I soon remembered that I made a promise to her that I would have lunch together with her this time. Since I was pretending to be Suki, I was having lunch with Akashi mostly everyday. 

"Yes." I assured. She smiled and nodded. Soon our teacher came in to start our lesson.

Time Skip to Lunch 

"Seijuro." I called Akashi. He turned and walked towards me. "What is it, Suki?" He aswered. I had my bento box in my hand. "I'm going to have lunch with Ayami-san today." I smiled hoping he will let me have lunch with her. He nodded. "Okay, but we are going to have lunch tomorrow." He said. I nodded understanding and smiled at him. 

I don't know what made me do it, but I did.

I hugged him. 

"Thanks." I said and released our hug. I turned around without looking back at him.

I walked up to the rooftop and opened the door to reveal Ayami sitting on the ground while eating her bento. I sighed and blew a strand of my black hair out of my face. I walked over to Ayami and sat by her. 

Ayami smiled at me. "So how are things going with Akashi?" She asked. I sighed. "Well if I think about it, I kind of got use to him thinking that I am Suki. At least I get to be with Akashi." I gave her a slight smile. Then Ayami's face got serious. 

"What will happen if he knows the truth? This is risky.." Ayami said in a worried voice. I looked at the ground. "I don't really know, but when the time comes I will deal with it then." Ayami nodded. "I just hope for the best for you two.." She gave me a slight smile. I smiled back. I began to eat my bento. 

Then Ayami stopped eating. "I really wonder why Haru wants you to do this." She said with a confused face. I stopped eating and looked at her. "I really don't know either. She didn't really explain anything. She just said it was Akashi's and Suki's sake." Ayami huffed getting frustrated. 

"I'm just frustrated that she's making you do this." She gave me a pitiful look. "Please don't give me pity, I decided this on this with my own will." Ayami sighed. She continued to eat. 

I soon finished my bento. I walked over to the railing and leaned over it looking up into the sky. The sun was beaming on my face. 

Suki. 

If you can hear me. 

Hear me out.

I'm sorry for pretending to be you.

But I love him.

I love Seijuro.

Sadly, he doesn't love me back.

He loves you.

So I wish to stay like this.

So I can be with Seijuro.

Even if I have to stay like this for all my life.

I want to be with him. 

"Ai." Ayami called snapping me out of my thoughts. I turned towards her. "Yes?" I answered. "What are you thinking about?" She suddenly asks me. "About Suki." She tilted her face looking confused. "Why?" She asked. I sighed. "I just needed to tell her some things." 

After that Ayami did not say anything. Soon the bell rang meaning it was time to go back to class.

"We should go." I said. Ayami nodded and got off of the ground with her bento box in her hand. We soon walked down back to our classroom. 

It was math class. "Ugh.." I whined. Ayami glared at me, because she loved math. I stuck my tongue at her. She stuck her tongue back at me and made a funny face which made me laugh. We soon bursted out laughing. 

"Ai, Ayami! You two will be cleaning my classroom after school since you think it's okay to goof around in my class!" Our teacher scolded us.

"Hai.." We both said in embarrassment. Our classmates were smirking at us. Both of our faces were super red. 

Well at least I don't have to clean the classroom by myself like last time.. 

Time Skip to After School

I sighed. I was washing the floor, while Ayami was cleaning the chalk boards. "It's your fault." I said to Ayami. She glared at me. "It was your fault too!" She said. "How?!" I asked. "You reacted to my silly faces!" Then she gave me one of her silly faces. I tried to hold in my laugh, but failed. We both bursted out laughing. 

"Oh gosh.." I wiped a tear from my eye since I was laughing so hard. Ayami did the same. I put my arm around her shoulder. "This is why we are best friends." I said. Ayami smiled. Ayami turned so she was in front of me. She held her hand up gesturing for a high five. "We are partners in crime!" I smiled. "Yoosh!" I slapped her hand giving her a high five. 

Even though we had our ups and downs. She's my best friend and will always be my best friend.
