Ch. 8: Late Night Talks

Daniel?! Daniel is you oldest brother who was an exchange student in the US.

"DANIEL?" You ask screaming from joy.

"MOM SHARER?" Daniel exclaimed.

"Wha-" Albus starts but you cut him off.

"DANIEL!" You yell.

You run up to him and hug him not wanting to let go. However, it's at this moment that your brain remembers what was about to happen. You, Y/n L/n, were about to kiss Al. Albus Severus Potter. Y/n M/n L/n. Were about to kiss.

"What are you doing here?" You ask him.

"I'm your new potions teacher. Ol' Sluggy's decided to retire early." He replies.

You walk back over to Al and grab him to introduce them.

"Daniel this is Al, one of my best friends. Al this Daniel, my oldest sibling." You say to both of them.

"I'm hurt." Daniel says holding his hand to his chest. "I'm your 'oldest sibling' not your most wonderful, attractive, beautiful, funny, amazing, sibling ever?"

"Okay fine." You say turning back to Al. "Al, this is my most wonderful, attractive, beautiful, funny, amazing sibling ever."

Al is too shocked to say anything so he musters a smile onto his face.

"Well just wanted to say hi, you two can get back to your moment." He says and waltzes out the door.

"Your brother is certainly..." Al says trailing off.

"A mess? Because if so, I 100% agree." You say and go back to sit on the couch.

Al follows and sits next to you.

"Are you excited about your cousins wedding?" You ask him changing the subject.

"Yup, and you should be too. Since your coming as my date." He says.

"Why should I go with you?" You ask playfully.

"Well 1, I don't have anyone else to go with. 2, your going to be coming to the wedding anyways. And 3, if you didn't Rose would rip my head off. And I don't think you want me headless, do you?" He said.

"Fair points." You reply. "Except for the one about you being headless."

"Hey, my head is one of my most amazing features." Al said defensively.

-Time Skip-

It had been hours but you and Albus continued to talk. It was past curfew by now and Scorpius had come back a little while ago. He didn't find Max, so thankfully he wasn't able to do anything stupid. Scorpius had gone to bed and you were finally beginning to feel sleepy.

Albus noticed this and said, "We really should be getting to bed."

"Yeah," you yawned sleepily. "I'll head back to my dorm now."

"What? But what if you get caught? Or if you get cold? Or lost?" He started to worry.

"I'll be fine Albus." You reply.

"No. You are staying with me." He replied in a tone that said he had made his final decision.

You realized that arguing wasn't going to get you anywhere so instead you just agreed to it.

You made your way up the stairs with Albus supporting you because you were so tired. When you got there you both passed out on his bed, but not before you shut the curtains. You did not need his dorm mates to wake up to this, even if you were best friends.

-In the Morning-

A white flash went off in your face and you heard murmuring around you.

"Look how cute..."

"Never thought the day would come..."

"He needs to teach me his tricks..."

You were still tired and didn't want to wake up yet so you turned around and snuggled into the closest thing to you, burying your face into it. It oddly smelled like fresh laundry and peppermint. That's when you remembered where you were and who was next to you.

You opened your eyes, screamed, and fell off the bed landing harshly on your back. You hit your head on the floor too and everything was spinning and slightly blurry. You groaned in pain but realized three people were staring at you.

It was Scorpius, and two of their dorm mates who's name you couldn't remember. That's all you saw before you blacked out.

(I know it's short but I changed the name of the book! I didn't like the title and I'm still on the fence about this one. Let me know if you have any title recommendations. -Lily)
