The next morning at breakfast was going perfectly. You were eating your favorite breakfast, with your favorite people, in your favorite place.
That was until you saw a figure get up and make his way over to you. He made eye contact with you and Al noticed this too. Al looked at you with worried eyes but you kept yours eyes trained on the boy who was less than 10 feet away from you.
Max. Max Mays. He had the guts to come up to you after what he did to you? You were going to give that little bugger a piece of your mind when Al set his on yours and you calmed down instantly.
Max approached you but he looked very nervous. He rubbed the back of his neck trying to find the right words before saying, "I know I have no right coming up to you after what I did but... I just needed to make sure you were alright."
You looked at him disapprovingly before before your gaze softened. He looked so nervous and you couldn't stay mad at some one forever. He knew what he did was wrong and he wanted to make amends.
Al was glaring at Max so hard and if looks could kill Max but be long gone by now. You stuck out your hand for Max to shake before saying, "Forgotten?"
"Forgotten." He replies after shaking your hand.
Al's jaw dropped but you just smiled at Max happy there was no more drama in your life. That's when Max tripped against Albus' foot and fell onto the bench. Luckily, none of the food fell onto the floor or onto anybody and you quickly stood up and helped Max up. You shot a glare at Albus before Max said, "I'll see you later."
He walked off and you turned on Albus. "Why did you trip Max?" You ask him.
"Why did you forgive Max?" He shot back.
"Because I can't hold grudges and stop changing the subject." You replied.
"Fine, I didn't trip him on purpose but I will gladly take the credit even if it isn't mine." He said.
You just took a sip of your pumpkin juice and decided to engage in Rose, Lily, and Lilian's conversation.
Your pumpkin juice tasted a little different than normal but you shrugged it off. You felt something warm in your stomach and wondered if you were getting sick. Suddenly, you throat started closing up and you stood up gasping for air. You stumbled a little trying to run out of the Great Hall when Al steadied you.
It was over as fast as it came but you still clung onto Albus as he steadied you. Your throat felt sore and Albus handed you your pumpkin juice and your drank the whole glass.
"Are you alright? What happened?" Albus asked you worriedly.
"I'm okay, I don't know what happened though." You replied.
You sat back down and so did Albus but you couldn't keep your eyes from wandering to a certain Ravenclaw. You didn't know why, but today Max just seemed so handsome. The way his beautiful blue eyes twinkled in the light. The way his hair looked so silky smooth you wanted to run your hands through it. He looked so handsome you didn't even notice Al saying your name.
"Y/n?.. Y/n!" Albus exclaimed.
You shot up in your seat, not realizing how much you were slouching. You turned to Albus saying, "I'm sorry, but I have to go."
Albus looked at you very confused but you got a sudden burst of confidence and you didn't want it to go to waste.
You walked over to the Ravenclaw table, no one sparing you a second glance and sat down next to Max. He looked at you but didn't look surprised at all. He smiled at you and you never realized how amazing his smile was. He had a slight dimple on one cheek, his teeth were perfectly straight, and his lips looked so plump and luscious.
You wanted nothing more than to kiss him and did exactly that. He kissed you back and you never wanted it to end. You eventually had to pull back and your smiled at him before signing contentedly.
You stood up before kissing his cheek and saying, "See you later, love."
You walked out of the Great Hall, oblivious to all the incredulous stares being thrown at you, especially Albus'. You stood in the hallway leading to the Great Hall and looked at your left hand. You imagined an engagement ring on your ring finger and thought how 'Mrs. Mays' sounded perfect to you.
~Albus POV~
Seeing her kiss that scumbag tore me apart. I thought we actually liked me, but I guess I was wrong.
However, it was just weird how fast she went from hating him, forgiving him, and then to loving him.
