Ch. 12: New Friends

~Al's POV~

Y/n ran out of her dorm room crying and it frustrated me so much.

"Why did you yell at her?!" Rose asked me.

"You yelled at her too!" I said defensively.

"But we were making progress!" She retorted.

"That's what you call progress? Screeching at her?" I asked her.

"Ugh!" Rose groaned. "Everyone out now!" She yelled.

We all immediately filed out of the dorm room. No one messed with Rose when she was mad.

Scorpius and I said bye to Y/n's siblings and mine before heading to the Slytherin common room.

When we got there I plopped onto one of the sofas and Scorpius sat next to me. I put my face into a pillow and groaned.

"How can she go from hating him to loving him?!" I asked no one in particular.

"Mate, you might want to quiet down." Scorpius said.

I didn't care if everyone was looking at me weirdly I just couldn't understand.

"Your smart," I said addressing Scorpius.

"Gee thanks." He said.

"Why do you think she went from hating him to loving him?" I asked.

"Maybe she didn't." He replied. This made me even more confused. What in the world did he mean by that?

"What?" I asked him.

"I'm just saying, what if she knew Max more than she let on?" He said.

"What?" I asked him again.

"Your insufferable." He said rubbing his temples.

~Your POV~

In the morning you were woken up by the sounds of your dorm mates moving around. It was a Saturday so you could go back to bed if you wanted to but you got ready anyways.

When you got to the Great Hall you spotted a weird sight. Rose was sitting at the Gryffindor table, Al was at the Slytherin table, and Scorpius was at the Ravenclaw table.

You decided to sit next Rose since it was your houses table anyway. You started eating but neither of your talked to each other. You were halfway through your cereal when you had enough of the silence.

"Rose.." you started.

She looked at you with eyes of hatred and sadness.

"What Y/n?" She asked in a not so friendly tone.

"I wanted to say.." you started again trying to find the right words.

"You wanted to say what?!" Rose snapped at you.

You stared at her in shock but she kept going.

"What is it you want to say now?! You've realized what a douche you were for dating Max?! You've come crawling back to me?! Well guess what, I don't need you in my life! You were nothing more than a nuisance and a pain in my arse. Why do you think Al, Scorpius, and I became your friends?! It was out of pity because clearly no one else wanted to be your friend and I can rightfully agree with them on that!" She yelled and the whole Great Hall went silent.

You looked at her with more hurt in your eyes then you thought possible. Tears were starting to well in your eyes and you felt if you did anything they would fall freely. You looked down at the ground before whispering, "I'm glad I know how you really felt." before sprinting out of the Hall.
