Look After A Naga [Naga Vincent × Reader]

10 - kara's plan

(I learned that when a snake is stuck and can't move to get out they just stay there.)

I was making food for vincent and me. Even tho I think he is igroning me so I guess I'm  doing the same. I don't know. I feel him looking at me and watching me but never truly comes over to talk.

I heard the door bell ring and saw jump in surpise by the noise. I walked to the door and opened it to see kara. It is just kara. At my door. Nothing odd about this at all.

"Hey, what is up?" I was confused why she was here.

"Hi, i know it bad to assume stuff but i need your opinion." She was so upset about something.

"Okay... um... i have my own problems to deal with. You just have deal with your own problems by yourself." I told her about to close the door her but she stop the door from closing.

"I can help you. Please. You are not the only person i went to ask for help. Everyone shut door on me. Well mike never opened his door." She begged me to help her.

"Fine. Come in." I allowed kara in and closed the door after her. I went back to the kitchen and went back to cooking food for me and vincent.

"Why is vincent hiding from you?" Kara asked as she noticed Vincent spying on me from the door away.

"We are in some sort of disagreement. He wants to the woods and i don't want to risk it." I told her. She just laughed.

"Go to the woods. Take him outside. Easy. Some people are worth the risk and if you need someone to help. You have me." Kara tried to convince me. I understand the risks and how to prevent them but isn't it much easier to keep him away from harms away. Also she wouldn't be help.

"The answer would still be no." I told her. "You aren't exactly responsible or easy to manage. You are 2x the work." I told her. She looked offended but laughed it off.

"Don't you trust me?" Kara asked with puppy dog eye.

"For a 19 year old you are so childish." I said as i finnished make food and called Vincent to eat. "No, you physically can't look after an object never mind a living thing."

"Hey so i break things and also lose things but a living creature is better and is much easier." Kara said in a begging tone.

"You lost a mug. You physically lost a mug after 2 minutes of having it. You lost it." I reminded her of one of the my stuff she lost stuff. "A mug can't walk or move and you lost it."

"No wonder Vincent is in a mood. Lighting up. Live a little. She whined.

"Stop acting like childish. You know how much i worry anout vincent." I felt like i have to go to the woods with them both now. If i leave kara alone she might end up burning my house down or end up grtting lost on the streets. Vincent automatically comes alone with me.

"I know but he always been wanting you to have some free time for him. He wants to go outside. You understand how it feels to be trapped in a place that you can't survive in. Why are you making him feel the same way? You can't chose what he can and can't do." Kara told me off with a good point but i feel so scared. If i lose him it would break me.  I love him too much to lose him.

"Fine lets go." I sighed and kara smiled.

"Great. Now talk to him." Kara pulled me to where Vincent was. I was eating on the couch. He seemed to like my cooking. Kara coughed to get his attention.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked slowly moving on the moving closer to him. His tail covered the couch. I tried my best not to scare him.
He hissed and looked at me.

"Your food is good." He told with a smile. Is he avoiding my question?

"Are you mad at me?" I asked again. Yellowish orange eyes looked at me with lack of anything but boredom. Makes sence. I never here but when at nights. I normal lying in bed and watching tv.

"We are going to the woods." Kara told him. He smiled and hugged me in happiness.

"I'll go find you something to wear." I told him with a smile. I enjoyed his hugs.

"You need to eat you breakfast first." He reminded me.

"I will. Up stairs under my bed their is a box with clothes. could you get some of those on. Please." I told him. He nodded and slivered away.

I got my breakfast and started eating.

"So everything chilled now?" Kara asked.

"Yeah, I think so. He happy to go outside. I still scared of what could happen." I looked down.

"Mate, how many people do you see go to the woods. Hardly anyone. Aye, one or two couple, elders or family. But that is near the entrance of the woods. We can go deeper into the woods and chill. Keep to the path and don't wander off. Simple as." She assured me with a kind and friendly smile.

"Right like you would stick to the path and not wander off." I joked. She laughed at herself.

"I am responsible." She told me. It was a lie. She is not.

"Sure you are." I rolled my eyes and continue eating.

"I am serious. I am good at responsibilitying someone." Kara said.

"Responsibilitying isn't a word." I told her.

"Nobody said I was smart." She huffed, jokely.

"Nobody said you were responsible neither." I said the truth.

"You bitch." She playfully punched my arm like a child on a sugar rush but the difference is that she is always on that sugar rush.

"Hey, stop. You childish fool." I laughed. She began to tickle me. I laughed and held onto my breakfast.

~I am not good at spelling but i am trying my best.

~ I need to reread my work more. It is an habit to skip reading to make time. It is something I did for school work due to how slow I write.

~Give tips to improve my work. It would greatly help.
