***** HOMOPHOBIA WARNING *****
~Cyrus's POV~
"I would've never thought that you two would be friends." TJ stated.
"Reed's been there for me a lot in high school." I shrugged.
"Yeah and Cyrus was one of the first people to accept that I had turned over a new leaf." Reed smiled at me.
I remember Buffy and Andi thinking I was crazy for being Reed's friend after the gun thing. They slowly came around though, and they even consider him a friend. Jonah, being Jonah, was instantly Reed's friend.
"When's the next game?" I asked.
"Tuesday." Reed replied before TJ had the chance to speak.
"You're way more on top of the schedule than I was when I was captain." TJ laughed.
"Well, guess I'm the better captain." Reed said playfully.
"Oh really?" TJ smirked.
"Yes really." Reed smirked back.
I knew exactly where this was going, so I decided to input my thoughts.
"One on one." I stated.
"What?" TJ and Reed asked.
"I said one on one. Settle this debate. I'll keep score." I said and they both nodded.
"Alright." Reed said.
"Bet." TJ replied and grabbed his basketball off the ground. Him and Reed met right in front of the basketball hoop in TJ's driveway.
"Wait! Before we get started..." I said and ran into TJ's house.
~TJ's POV~
"What do you think he's doing?" Reed asked me as I pondered why Cyrus had ran into my house.
"No clue. He always manages to surprise me." I said fondly.
"Someone's crushing hard on Goodman." Reed chuckled and I smiled. If only he knew.
Cyrus emerged from my house wearing a stripped referee shirt and a whistle. Reed and I couldn't keep straight faces as we laughed.
"Laugh all you want. I want a clean game boys, and I'm going to make sure it goes that way." He said confidently and my heart melted a bit. He's so cute when he's dramatic.
"Alright sir." Reed responded. Cyrus stuck up his finger.
"That's Referee Sir to you Winchester." Cyrus said which earned a laugh from me. My laugh was cut short as Cyrus blew his whistle.
"That goes for you too Kippen!" He exclaimed.
"This is going to be a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be." Reed laughed. I nodded and started dribbling the ball a bit. Cyrus motioned for the ball, and I passed it to him. Surprisingly, he caught it. He smiled, proud of himself, and stood between Reed and I.
"Alright ladies, first one to twenty wins. All baskets count as one and no arguing with me. I'll deduct points." He smiled and blew the whistle as he threw the ball up for the face-off.
*~*~*~*
It was nineteen to eighteen. I had one on Reed. I just needed to get one more point and I would win.
Reed managed to trip me up though. He tied it up. Cyrus immediately blew his whistle though.
"That's game!" He said as Reed and I looked at him like he was crazy.
