Ch. 4: Disney movies lead to confessing things

(I've been busy recently so sorry about not updating. Hope you enjoy!)

Needless to say the whole movie watching thing didn't last long.

Brendon and Dallon had sat through and watched almost every single Disney movie Aspen had. Mind you that's not a few.

The small girl had eventually gotten bored of watching them, since she had seen them all like five times, and she finally retreated to her room, leaving Brendon and Dallon alone.

It was sort of awkward seeing as a joyful kids movie was still playing in the background and neither of them were speaking.

It was a comfortable silence though.

Not one where you have no idea what to say at all but one where it's just nice to not say anything at all.

Brendon was sat staring at his lap, he didn't really have much to say nor did he really know if he wanted to say anything.

The moments from the zoo and the restaurant replayed in his mind.

He had noticed how Dallon had gotten touchier and more protective after the incident in the gift shop, and honestly, he would be lying if he said that he didn't like it.

He felt comfortable around Dallon, even more comfortable than he had felt around Sarah when they were together.

A small blush dusts his cheeks as he remembers how Dallon had said he was his "boyfriend" and that Aspen was their "daughter".

Whenever Dallon would just do simple movements such as touching his knee in the car, Brendon's heart would flutter.

He didn't want to admit it but deep inside him, he knew that he loved the tall, blue eyed man.

He thought that if he did try to make a move or anything with Dallon that people would say he was moving on to early or that he was just desperate to be with someone for the company.

But that wasn't the case.

Sure, him and Sarah had just gotten out of a relationship and him and Aspen were still kind of calming down from it but he knew what he felt for Dallon was real.

It wasn't just something he's testing, or something that he just wants to happen because he's upset.

It was real. He knew it was.

He wanted to say something so badly but what if Dallon didn't feel the same? What if the minute he told him Dallon would leave and never make contact with him again?

He couldn't stand the thought of that.

So, he kept quiet. He didn't want to lose his best friend, and he didn't want to have to never talk to him again, or see him again.

If he said nothing, things would stay the same, and that's how he wanted them to stay.

But he couldn't help but think of how protective Dallon had gotten, or the way he basically held him at the restaurant.

Did that mean anything to him or was it just Brendon that it meant something to?

Psh, who was he kidding? Dallon would most likely never like him like that.

To Dallon this was just probably a friendly thing. Nothing more than being best friends.

But yet his thoughts kept going back to when he said he was his boyfriend.

Did Dallon want a relationship with him? He could tell that he cared for Aspen, and clearly Aspen loved him. So did he want something with him?

Just as he was listing the pros and cons in his head, a gentle yet charming voice interrupted his thoughts.

Dallon's voice.

"Brendon? Are you okay?"

He looks up and nods gently.

"Y-Yeah, m'fine." He looks back down at his lap.

"You're sure?" He nods once more, "Positive."

He feels the couch shift and suddenly Dallon's sat right beside him, with an arm around his shoulder.

He silently freaks out and he doesn't dare look up at him.

"Hey, Bren? Can you tell me more about what happened with Sarah? You don't have to, but maybe it'd help if you got it off your chest?"

He looks up and he's met with Dallon's piercing blue eyes, which he's found out now that he loves.

"Uh, s-sure. Yeah, you're probably right about me getting it off my chest. What do you want me to tell you?"

Dallon slightly shrugs but he pulls Brendon closer to him.

"Whatever you're comfortable with and whatever you want me to know or are fine with me knowing." Dallon smiles at him gently and he slightly melts.

"Okay, well I guess I could tell you what started it all." He can't help but smile back at Dallon slightly.

Dallon nods and waits for him to continue.

He takes in a breath before starting.

"Well several months ago, Sarah started to come home late. I didn't think anything of it but she just kept coming home later and later every night. Aspen would always ask me where she was and I'd have to come up with some stupid lie to tell her," he sighs and runs a hand through his hair but continues.

"It eventually got to where whenever she got home you could smell men's cologne on her. She would deny it anytime I asked her about it. She would even sometimes accuse me of cheating, which I wasn't because I had to stay home with Aspen. We would get into more arguments and she would always leave, never once saying sorry. She made me feel as though I was in the wrong when I really wasn't."

He looks back up to Dallon and finishes his story.

"When we got in this last fight I finally snapped and said something to her which she still denied doing it. So I told her to go live with one of her other boyfriends. She did threaten to take Aspen but no way in hell was she getting her." He smiles a small, sad smile and he looks to Dallon for a reaction.

Dallon's eyes show sympathy and he does something that shocks Brendon.

He pulls him basically into his lap and hugs him tightly.

Brendon's body tenses but he quickly hugs back, tucking his face into Dallon's shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, Bren."

He nods slightly,"It's fine. It wasn't you're fault, and besides, Aspen and I are happier now with her gone," he laughs slightly.

Dallon pulls away but only enough to look at him in the eyes.

"I'm here for you no matter what, B." Dallon continues to hold him, their faces inches apart.

Brendon nods and he notices Dallon's eyes flick down to his lips.

He remembers now that they were close like this at the zoo but Aspen had interrupted.

Dallon leans in closer to him, his eyes going back to Brendon's eyes as a way to silently ask for permission.

Brendon leans in more too and nods slightly, his eyes still on Dallon's.

Dallon connects their lips, his eyes falling shut along with Brendon's.

To say that Brendon felt sparks was an understatement. He felt fireworks.

As their lips moved in sync, all of Brendon's thoughts about Dallon not liking him, let alone loving him, faded away.

He knew at this moment he was in love with Dallon Weekes, and nothing could change that.

(Ayyy this was sweet. I apologize for not updating! I hope this makes up for it hopefully.
