Brendon wakes up the next morning and he still feels miserable.
He groans softly and sits up, as he realizes that he's gotten his strength back. He stands up and stretches, the previous events of crying his eyes out and not moving for several straight hours left his body aching.
His hair was absolutely a mess, and he could tel whenever he ran his hands through it. He sighs softly and walks to the bathroom, deciding to at least tidy himself up.
He gets a new pair of clothes, a simple red button up and black jeans, and he starts the shower.
He quickly strips and steps in, the warmth of the water immediately relaxing him.

After Brendon cleans himself up, he walks to Aspen's room, it was a bit later in the morning so she'd most likely be awake.
When he walks into her room, he sees her sat up on her bed playing with two bears Brendon had given to her.
"Hey babe," He says softly, and when the small girl looks up at him, he walks over and picks her up, holding her securely in his arms.
"Hi daddy!" She giggles out, he small arms immediately find place at Brendon's chest and she leans into him.
Brendon smiles and kisses her head, humming softly in thought.
"Baby I had an idea on what we could do today." Brendon said. Aspen looks up at him curiously and excitedly.
"What is it daddy?" Aspen says, her voice sounding excited.
"How about we go Christmas shopping and we decorate the house?"
He knew Christmas was a couple days away and even if Dallon and him had a moment, he still wanted to have a happy Christmas. Not even for himself, but for his daughter.
Aspen claps excitedly and nods, she then points to the ground, her signal for Brendon to set her down.
He puts her down and he gets her a pair of clothes, and he helps her get dressed. He then does her hair in braids.
He knew how to braid hair actually quite well, having two sisters in the house when you were little pays off.
"Alright baby go put your shoes on and let's go."
—
The two had been running around town all afternoon, and they had bought gifts for everyone, almost.
Brendon had already bought Aspen's gifts awhile ago and they were currently sitting in his closet.
Aspen had given up on shopping around an hour ago, so if Brendon wanted to go in a store he had to carry her.
Brendon finally threw in the towel, and they went home. Aspen's energy immediately returned as she realized that they were going to put up the Christmas tree.
Once they're home, Aspen jumps out of the car and goes running inside the house, leaving Brendon to carry all of the bags inside.
He laughs and does so, not really caring anymore.
