Sasuke was glade that he and hinata finally started to talk again.
Her sincere apology and embrace for the first time in his life, he felt safe and comfortable.
Her hug was different from all those clingy girls, but to a reason he still didn't know yet.
Hinata and sasuke kept meeting every morning for to eat together, after their missions as well to spar, and at night sometimes to stargaze.
However, they were approaching to the final stage of the chunin exam, which is one on one battle.
After they spared together, hinata was leaning forward on her knees heaving, while sasuke was admiring still her strength. In the end, hinata is still the only one who beaten sasuke.
"So, what do we do now.." hinata asked
"I don't know... you choose" sasuke said as he watched his closest friend heave.
When sasuke thought about such acknowledgement for hinata being his closest friend, he felt shivers down his spine.
He musn't get too close to anyone, his route of vengeance needs him to be alone..complete solitude, yet he just acknowledged how close hinata is to him.
"I have an idea... we can...li..." but before hinata continues sasuke interrupted her
"Lie under the shades and close our eyes to meditate, and enjoy the silence and the nature calls" sasuke said in a lousy tone.
Hinata giggled at such comment.
"You know me too much sasu-chan" she winked as she laid down, sasuke lied by her.
He turned his head to watch as hinata was sprawling on the ground, her eyes closed and her breathing was serene.
Sasuke looked intently at her skin, hinata's skin was somehow pale, she was glowing under the sun, like glitter. Her perfect body that was blossoming like a woman, she was even curvier more than girls her age.
Her silky inky hair, that was cut into a boy's cut, yet gave her appealing look, an attractive one.
Sasuke felt his lips curve into a smile involuntarily.
Hinata felt his eyes on her, she opened it and turned her face to sasuke, when sasuke quickly turned his head away, with a blushing cheeks.
Hinata giggled, she knew sasuke was starring at her.
She pulled her body up, and leaned on and planted a kiss on his cheeks, sasuke blushed fiercely.
"Why you did that..." he said with a cute pout and blushing cheeks.
"Because you are cute.." she smiled
"Knock it out" sasuke snapped and blushed more.
"Sasu... do you like spending time with me" she asked with the brightest smile.
Sasuke turned his head away and crossed his hands.
"Where did that come from" he said in a whisper.
"Because i do..." she smiled
Sasuke's face kept blushing.
"Cut it out..." he snapped at her, but hinata giggled.
"Lets be together forever sasuke" she said enthusiastically.
Sasuke looked down, his hair covering his eyes, but his lips were curved into a sincere smile.
The last stage of the chunin exam was on, and according to the choices, sasuke and hinata would face each other.
Though sasuke had beaten many, still... hinata was the only one who could kick his ass.
They both stood across each other, each with a smirk.
"DO IT SASUKE KUN..." sakura yelled cheering for sasuke.
"GOOO SASU GOOO" inu cheered as well.
"Hina chan, don't hold back" Kiba yelled.
"Do your bestttt" naruto cheered.
"Don't hold back...Hinata" sasuke said with a mischievous tone.
"I wasn't going to anyway" hinata's lips curved into a grin, and both battled.
As both were battling, and everyone was cheering, the crowd was left in awe by hinata's ultimate strength, Neji her cousin was watching and proud of his cousin.
She was growing and being ultimately powerful.
She would lead the clan and protect its legacy.
Everyone thought as because hinata was somehow distant except for her team mates and sasuke, she was shy and timid, but hinata wasn't.
In fact she was focusing on her goals, and only to win sasuke's heart.
However as both battled, and almost, almost they were on a tie, Hinata was running to point her attack
Towards sasuke, who was as well doing the latter, however hinata felt immense pain, and all of a sudden she collapsed.
Sasuke stopped his attack immediately and rushed towards her.
"HINATAAAAA" he yelled as he stretched his arms to catch the collapsing girl.
"HINAA" neji yelled and jumped inside the ring, he rushed towards his cousin.
He straddled his cousin and then gave a glare at sasuke.
The medic team rushed inside and took hinata to the infirmary, while the referee declared sasuke as a winner. Sasuke was bewildered and wasn't happy at such announcement.
He left the ring and rushed towards the infirmary.
"Will she be fine doctor?" Neji said with a panicking tone.
The doctor gave a slow nod, with his eyes closed, and his expressions were filled with pain.
Neji knows about hinata's condition, yet he knows she is a fighter and she won't give in.
Neji sat down by hinata's bed, he took her hands and placed it near his cheeks.
"Hinata sama...please be okay" he said with a sincere tone and his tears fell, only to be cut when a certain red head, emerald eyed, tattooed boy entered her room.
"Gaara" neji retorted
"How is she" gaara said stoically.
Gaara has always been hinata and neji's childhood friend.
At time when all konoha's were outcasting the redhead, hinata had always approached him, smiled at him and talked to him.
At time when everyone called him a monster, hinata had soothed his aching soul.
To gaara, hinata was his precious sister and friend.
Gaara approached hinata's sleeping form, he rested his hands over her sleeping face, stroking it gently, with his knuckles, until someone rushed inside the room.
Both gaara and neji we're bewildered when they saw that cold heart bastard, raven head uchiha heaving.
"Hinata, hinata" he called in panic.
"Please calm down sasuke kun" the doctor ordered.
"You are the reason she is in a bad shape.." gaara hissed as he marched towards the uchiha, grabbing his collar.
Sasuke pushed gaara away and spat back
"Get your hands off me, or i'll break it"
"Juniors... thats enough, please leave her to rest" the doctor ordered
"I won't be leaving..." sasuke said and sat down.
Gaara and neji sat as well.
The doctor sighed and then said
"Then don't do any noise please..." and by that he left.
Couple of hours passed until kakashi sensei and the other sensei's called gaara, neji and sasuke.
They left the sleeping Hyuga.
But after five hours, Gaara went back to hinata's room.
"Uhm...ah..." hinata whimpered as she clutched her head.
She pulled herself up to find herself in the infirmary, and she was suddenly greeted by a squishing hug.
"Gaara...you will squish me" she said.
"Yokatta... you are fine" gaara said as he pulled away.
"What happened.." she asked
"You collapsed...hina...and this is all because of him"
"Gaara kun... i..."
"Hinata... you promised you would take care..." he said in a sincere voice
Hinata looked down.
"You have been exhausting yourself sparring, and with him... you have been spending most of your time taking care of sasuke as if he is your lost child...hinata, this is too much for you and you know that" gaara scolded her
"Its just...i.." she said
"I know you love him...hinata you have been selfish...what about your condition hina...you know what will happen if you pushed yourself to the limit..." gaara said
"Nothing will happen, please gaara i can't leave him...i can't leave sasuke... haven't you seen when i just took a step back because i saw him kissing sakura, he was devastated, i can't do that to him"
"But hinata, think how much he'll be devastated when he finds out,or how will you be devastated when he leaves you....it'll worsen your condition..."
"I can't..leave him..."
"Hinata, you have always been selfless, but now you are being selfish..."
"Why is that..."
"You don't want to leave him so he won't be broken, yet you are breaking yourself, and soon...soon nothing of you would be left... and he'll be left alone all again hinata...with only some flashbacks of memories..."
hinata started sobbing and crying.
"I love you hinata...you are precious to me...i don't want to lose you..." Gaara said with a sincere voice, wiping her tears.
All of a sudden, the door smashed opened to show a raging raven head.
He marched and landed a punch on gaara's face sending him away, hinata panicked and then sasuke smashed both his arms around both sides of her head.
He was a heaving mess, his sharingan was activated and that was the first time they were.
"YOU ARE MINE..." he growled at hinata.
