'...like, being nice at all...' Hahahafuckit. And that chick too.
It's not like I haven't been called cold before but this shit hurted.
I pushed myself away from the wall and started walking towards my friends when DH and Yoona noticed Chae's staring and turned back.
Let's pretend in front of my friends I didn't hear a thing.
Let's pretend her words doesn't affect on me.
Let's pretend I don't have feelings.
Yeah, that's a good idea. Play safe, as my dad used to say, you can handle your own feelings, but you can't handle other's reaction towards your feelings.
'Ten minutes.' I said as I got to them.
'What's in ten minutes?' Yoona asked confused.
'The NASA will send up a space capsule to Venus.' I answered sarcastically.
'Really? Wait what-' Yoona's eyes widened and she got more confused than before. Then slapped my arm when she realized what did I just say.
'I was just joking, Yoons.'
'Go to hell with your shitty humor, idiot.'
'Yoons?' Chae asked. 'Is this some kind of nickname?'
'Kinda.' Hyuck answered. Chae's face lighten up. 'Really? Do you have any others? I like nicknames.
'Yeah, we realized. Who else would call my brother Kyung?' Yoona rolled her eyes.
'What's the problem with it? I just cut the second syllable off. It's a casual way of creating nicknames.' Chae cut back. Yoona rolled her eyes.
'They call me Hyuckie and we call Renjun Junnie.' The other boy answered to Chae's question.
'You know, it's kinda sad that we call you by a nickname already.' Yoona pouted.
'Then create another one for me.' The other girl shrugged her shoulders.
A few minutes later Kyungseok walked to us. 'Come on guys, we're going home.'
'What home?'
'The place we all will be living in peace and calmness. Right Lee Donghyuck and Yang Chaeeun?'
'E-excuse me??!' Both of them looked offended. Chae crossed her arms while Hyuck was ready to throw some fists.
'I don't know about Chae, but bold of you to assume there will be calmness around Donghyuck's 5 meter long area, hyung.' I replied, earning a strong back slap from Hyuck. 'Shut it, shortie. Ow!' He screamed as I punched back without looking at him. 'You're only taller by 4 cms.'
'One point to Renjun. But I'm warning you, Chae is very similar to Donghyuck.' Kyungseok hyung nodded at me then raised his index finger up.
'Now you really scared me with that.' I shook my head, but I noticed the similarity too.
'Don't be dramatic Jun, you're just as bad as them.' Yoona rolled her eyes.
'Ok that was enough, thank you.' Kyungseok stepped in. 'Gosh, what did I do to deserve this.' He looked at the ceiling painfully.
'Ask the tomato.' Chae shrugged her shoulders again. I swear this is her habit.
'I heard it again, Chaeeun. Next time look around before you insult my hair.' A deep voice spoke that apperantly belonged to the leader.
'Which's cherry red, I know. Thanks for the advice by the way. ' The girl replied. Taeyong shook his head then pointed to the door. 'Let's go. I'll be closing the doors, you can wait for me outside.'
As we walked outside the cold night, I pulled up my hoodie's zip. The temperature difference between the night and daytime was bad enough but the fact it was chilly in the daytime too made the situation worse. We had to wait Taeyong and Kyungseok hyungs (who had the car keys) so we were just standing outside.
I heard footsteps behind me, but didn' t turn back. As the person got to my side, I immediately recognised them by the scent.
'Hey, you look upset. Is everything ok?'
'Of course, I just have this unpleasant face naturally.'
'You mean handsome.' I shook my head. I'm not handsome, everybody knows. Kyungseok hyung is handsome, Hyuck has good visuals too. But me? Nah, I have this face like I want to kill everybody. But I'm used to it. Maybe it's better if people fear you enough to not disturb you with their stupid things.
We stayed in silence for a few seconds then she turned to me. 'I hope I didn't hurt you earlier.'
'Why would you hurt me? By the way, I have no idea what are you talking about.'
Yoona slapped my arm, but smiled. 'Idiot. Don't get me wrong, but it's kinda interesting how the three of you got the same personality but you and Chae hate each other while Hyuck and Chae are literal soulmates. Not to mention, you and Hyuck always fight. '
'Basically you just told me I'm the ass one here.'
'No, of course not, I just noticed this. And I know right your fights with Hyuck are just teasing.'
I shook my head, smiling. 'Of course they get on well, both of them are annoying as fuck.'
'Wha- okay, I gotta admit you're right.'
After a little silence, Yoona stepped in front of me to look into my eyes. 'You're an amazing person, Renjun. I hope you're aware of that.'
She smiled kindly and rubbed my back. I smiled too, and watched her turning around then leaving. Yoona is the sweetest girl I've ever met. Donghyuck and me are so lucky to have a friend like her in our lives.
I looked up the sky. It was clear, so I could perfectly see the stairs. I started looking for constellations. Lyra? Tick. Cassiopeia? There it is. Ursa Minor? Ursa Minor, Ursa Minor, Ursa Mi-
As I turned to my other side, hoping to see the constellation, I saw the back of Chae sitting on the train rails, rubbing herself with her arms. She was wearing a sleeveless top, no wonder she's cold. I took off my hoodie and walked to her. Fuck my kind heart.
