RENJUN

I looked out of the car window. I know the road very well because I drive here twice a week (not mentioning the monthly meetings in the train station of the Techno) but I can always find new and new interesting things to look at. The trees bend to the other way in the wind, there are other people walking on the sidewalk, I see other scenes behind the houses' windows. I just can't get bored of the scenery.

However, I'm not sure if I could recognise it in the daytime. I only drive here after sunset and before sunrise (and sometimes in dawn). The night is my time, when most people are sleeping, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
In my old apartment, I would go for a walk around midnight and not return until 3 am. The dark scenery, the empty streets, the silence, the cold air and the street lamps' faint light gave me a comfortable, safe feeling.
Of course, it was only me back then. No one missed me, no one noticed I was out. Maybe except from my neighbour's old cat.
Starting from now, I have roomates. I mean rather flatmates. Two friends, one boss and a stranger. Ok, not a stranger. A co-worker. A friend of a friend. A friend of two friends, to be exact. Someone who just put her head on my shoulders at the moment. I was a bit surprised at her action. She was really tired, that's obvious. But she used my shoulder instead of Hyuck's? Guess you can't control your actions when you tired.
I heard a little hiss, so I turned my head away from the window. I saw Yoona smirking and drawing a little heart in the air. I rolled my eyes and looked out of the window again. Why do everyone want me to start dating with someone? Or why do people ship everybody who just looked at each other? Seriously what's wrong with being single?
I was distracted from my thoughts when my phone beeped.

shook my head. I kinda missed this asshole.
I put my arm down from the car window to use both of my hands for typing.

I looked up from my phone and leaned forward, closer to Kyungseok.
'Hyung, do we have anything to do after we arrive?'
'No why?' he answered, not looking at me.
'I'm going out for a few hours.'
Kyungseok raised his eyebrows. 'Alone?'
'With a friend. I won't be drunk and do something stupid, promise. '
The older guy looked into my eyes through the rearview mirror. 'I trust you, Renjun. But don't make me regret it.'
I nodded then sat back and pulled out my phone.

I shook my head, not looking up from my phone. 'You don't secretly read my texts pretending you're asleep.'

I put my phone in my pocket and looked at Chae. 'I was just talking with someone.'
She sat up and crossed her arms. 'Yeah, of course.'
I shrugged my shoulders. I won't give her an explanation. It's none of her business what I'm up to.
