I watched the clock as it slowly ticked . I knew all this stuff already . I there should be no reason as to why I shouldn't be in AP.

Oh wait , our school doesn't have those . The bell rung as I grabbed my stuff as I got up and walked towards the door I heard the teacher call out to me and Lauren .

"Yes sir ?"

"Well , I see how bored you and Lauren are and I don't know what kind of harm this will cause physically and socially , but I know mentally , you cannot stay here . So I'm sending you to Franklin High ."

"Mr B that's an all light - white school . I - we can't go there !"

"Yeah my brother Keith goes there ."

"Yes you can . I've spoken to the principal and she agreed . Not every Lightskin hates brown and Darkskins."

"But mister , the students ! They're gonna hate us ."

"That's why you and Lauren are the only two going .  we have way to get you there safetly ."

"mister b i dont know.."

"look you guys have a fair chance as everyone else , you guys are bright and can do some much more than we can offer you . first thing monday i want you all here so the bus can take you down there."

i nodded as i walked out , lauren close behind me .

" y/n/n ? you think my brother could drive us to school ?"

"no. hes just like the rest of those light - whites ."

"Y/n/n , no he's not . He has a crush on you ."

"Laurie stop it man . He just wants to fuck . I wanna keep my morals ."

"No forreal . Just at least talk to him please ? You staying over ?"

"Yeah ."

"Good that gives you two days ."

"To do what ?"

"Talk to your future husband girl ."

I breathlessly chuckled at her statement and turned to her . She gave me a grin as I grinned back .

"That is not my husband ."

"If you say so Yn ."

We walked up to his car as I opened the back door and saw this other darksin boy that goes to school across the street . He grinned at me as I gently got in , setting my books in my lap .

"Hey Bro . Who's your friend ?" Lauren asked turning to the boy , I kinda side eyed him as he kept looking me up and down . He gently kissed Lauren's hand as she giggled and flirted with him . Lauren is the biggest flirt I know .

I sat back as Keith looked at me through the rear view mirror . I caught him looking and gave him a gentle wave . Silence soon filled the car as we stopped at the boys house .

"I'll call you Lauren ."

"Okay Woody ." She commented in a gentle tone . I giggled at her as I kept looking at Keith focus on the road .
