i stopped the car as she pulled her hair back and zipped up her jacket.

"okay daddy , i'll be back in 25 - 30 minutes, okay ?" she said as she grabbed her phone from the glove compartment and placed in her airpods.

i sleepily nodded as she hugged me and told me she loved, i gained enough energy to hug her bag and mumble it back. she got out the car and placed her phone in the arm pouch she had .

she placed her phone in her arm pouch after starting her music . she looked back and waved as i gave a sheepish grin and gently waved back . she started to jog as i leaned my head back and took in the silence of the morning.

i slowly started to fall asleep as i stayed in my position.

1 hour later..

i heard ambulances zoom past my car and go in the directions of which Jasmine had jogged , i started to think the worst as i quickly cleared my throat and turned over my engine , i started to drive behind the ambulances as i seen a giant crash.

i seen the body of two people , i quickly got out as the police rushed up to me and held me back from ripping the yellow tape.

"Sir ! you're gonna have to calm down."

"that's my daughter ! her name is Jasmine Ardella !" i screamed as the investigators looked over at me , the tears rolled down my face as she beckoned me through .

"and um sir what is your name ?" she asked .

"Tony Ardella." i said as my voice quivered. she nodded and quickly scribble my name down.

"well sir , your daughter was jogging and well this drunk driver came speeding down and slammed into your daughter. we're so sorry but your daughter is dead." she said . as those words left her mouth everything started to go in and out.

the lights slowly began to fade as i looked at the sheet over her , i felt my chest get tight . the only peice of happiness i had left , gone.

i felt my heart snap into two as i slowly came back to reality.
