"Richard. Yashel. Camacho." I say when I open the front door the mansion. I was drenched because it had been raining cats and dogs here in Miami and the uber driver wasn't allowed on this property. He dropped me off at the gates and because of the walk to the front door I was soaked.
"In here!" I hear him yell back. It seemed like his voice was coming from the living room and making my way to the kitchen I saw the tv was on. Some cartoon for children was on. I walk closer and see Richard with a cast around his leg laying on the couch. He wasn't alone. On his left side was a little girl snuggled into his side. The two turned their heads when they heard my footsteps nearing them.
"Amor!" He tried standing up to give me a hug but I gestured for him to lay down and rest. He paused the show and I walked around the couch to only sit on the edge of the other side. "Don't act like a stranger." He pouts.
"I think you need to introduce me to someone because she looks very confused." I say while pointing to the little girl with lots of curls. A small smile creeps on my lips when he looks lovingly at her.
"Kinda forgot." He chuckles softly. He sits up and pulls the little girl on his lap. "Nena, this is Valentina. She's a—uh a very good friend of mine." He whispers to the girl. She nods and smoothly jumps off his lap. She walks over to me and I tense up, afraid to mess this moment up.
"Hola, Aaliyah." I softly say to her with a smile. She reflects the smile and looks back at her father. He nods at her and she suddenly engulfs me in a hug. A little surprised I hug her back. Richard looks happy at us and I can't help but smile. I'll be mad at his stupidness and causing me to worry later on when she's not around. The doorbell echoes through the mansion and Aaliyah jumps up and runs off to the front door. I look confused at Richard when he lets her just open the door.
"Yashua would come over." He answers, knowing I didn't like the two year to open the front door to strangers.
"Okay." I mumble, crossing my arms. "But you're lucky she's here otherwise I would have gone off over—"
"I know." He simply interrupts. I raise my eyebrow in confusion at him. "You never call me Yashel and my mom usually calls me that when she's like mad-mad." He chuckles.
"I don't know if it's a good thing or not when I'm compared to someone's mother." I say with a chuckle. There's a moment where our eyes are connected and neither of us dare to look away from the other. A male voice followed by Aaliyah's happy squeals make us snap out of the trance and look up the kitchen door. The guy, with Aaliyah in his arms, looked just like Richard. He walked over to the couch and placed Aaliyah down. I stood up to introduce myself to his brother.
"Yashua." He stated in his smooth, soothing voice. He grabbed my hand and placed a kiss on the back. On the inside I squealed and on the outside a blush crept on cheeks. I'm not used to this kind of affection by guys. Richard noticed I stare a little too long in Yashua's eyes and fake coughed to get the attention.
"Baby, you must be tired from the flight and the past days. Don't you want to sit down and take a rest." Richard offered patting the place on the couch next to him. I glanced one more time at Yashua and went to sit down next to him. When I sat down he pulled me even closer. Jealous Richard? I like.
Aaliyah found the remote and miraculously knew how to get the show off pause. The tv show continued and she had no eye for any of us anymore. She sat directly in front of the tv and my motherly instincts went off because it couldn't be good for your eyes to be that close to the tv. Yashua went to sit next to Aaliyah on the floor and annoyed her during the show."I'm sorry that I caused you to worry and stress even more, baby." He whispers in my ear. It took me by surprise and I feel the chills go down my spine. My cheeks flush red again but I don't move my gaze from the television screen.
"Yeah, well don't do it again, c*ño." I whisper back. I feel his eyes burn on the side of my face but I don't dare to look at him.
"How I've missed that nickname." He laughs, placing his arm around me. I snuggle a little more into his side and feel all the stress from the past days leave my body. I lay my head on his chest and close my eyes for a second or two to enjoy this peaceful moment.
"It's either that or homeboy." I joke. I look up at him and see he shifted his gaze to his daughter laughing with his brother.
"She's a very beautiful and precious niña. No te preocupes." I whisper to him, watching Aaliyah jump on Yashua's back.
"I know, just very happy right now." He mumbles a little absentminded. I hear him smiling and look up to see him with a beautiful, genuine smile.
"Just one question out of curiosity, Rich." I lower my voice. He looks down and for the both of us to notice how close we were again. "What was the meaning behind that kiss?"

I wish I was as emotional stable as Valentina.
