We met in grade ten, though you were in nine

Yet our love flourished like a sweet grape vine

Some people didn't believe, they laughed, they doubted

But you and me? Ha! Our love only sprouted

I know you love me, and I know I love you

Honestly, that's all I need to get through

But life has dealt me a bad hand of cards

And it broke my heart into sharp, broken shards

But you picked up those pieces and glued them together

And now I feel perfect, never under the weather
