I respect you
And everything you do
Even though you hurt me
For you have spread lies
And what's between my thighs
Caused you to be something you shouldn't be
Your hand would feel around
I didn't dare make a sound
I was so frightened and scared
And when they didn't believe
The words I would conceive
I felt like nobody cared
But you've earned my respect
Even though you wrecked
My self-confidence, my self-esteem
Because I know what you did
When I was a kid
Only caused me to dream
I dream to be better than the monster you are
And even though your actions left a permanent scar
I will not let you win
For I am far better
Than what you said in that letter
For you have committed the sin
You hurt your daughter
In ways that a father
Should never, ever do
And even though
It doesn't show
I still respect you
