As this tear runs down my cheek
I realize why my life is so bleak
They say young love will never last
But you and I have more than a past
We burned brighter than an everlasting flame
Yet now it hurts when I hear your name
Did I honestly just mean nothing to you?
Because I loved you through and through
And if I'm being honest, I still do
Because all my thoughts revolve around you
But you took my heart, and made it shatter
And served it on a silver platter
To your new lover, with eyes of green
Who knew that you could be so mean?
You won't even talk to me anymore
Was I really just that much of a chore?
I'm sorry if I caused you pain
I'm sorry that my love was in vain
And I'm sorry for everything I've ever done
Because in the end, you've always won
And now you've won the grandest prize
A new lover with lovely green eyes
If you're happy, then I guess I am too
I'll just have to learn to live without you
