Burning dim as an ember
In this month of November
The things I want to remember
Are just out of my reach
As I lay here in this bed
Thoughts keep running through my head
And though I know I'll soon be dead
There's things I need to teach
My skin is old, my heart older
Years went by, I turned colder
Now, looking over my shoulder
I see what I have missed
Your velvet hair, ocean eyes
Has helped me to realize
That there is something in the skies
That will cure life's fatal twist
So listen now, listen fast
For it's not long I will last
Just please do not dwell on your past
Goodbye. Flatline.
