"Why did I choose these gloves?" I cursed to myself right before reaching the apex of the hill. That's when I saw the dragon. "Holy sh——cow. Holy cow. There is a dragon. Where am I?"

I was literally scratching my head as I stared at the beast in front of me. The dragon was purple and quite big. Its head lay right under this fleece of gold.

"Is that the Golden Fleece?" I said, a bit too loudly the dragon -sleeping- had just now woken up. It just stared at me like it had no intent on moving. "Okay..."

I looked down the hill and was surprised. There was no snow. In fact it looked quite warm. I walked forward to the green grass. Yes it was warm. I removed my coat and gloves before I continued on. Looking down into the valley, a large blue house and fields of strawberries caught my eyes first. There was also an open air pavilion and a large array of various styled cabins. But down towards the center was a large fire changing colors—orange, red, and purple. Sounds of singing and laughter could be heard. Not knowing what to do I made my way down to the fire, since the large house was dark and I had a better chance to find someone to help me.

I was about 20 paces from the bond fire. There were at least 70 campers there even though it was winter and this was a summer camp. Don't they have school? I removed my hat and placed it and my gloves into my backpack and carried my coat over my arm. So I was just left in my dark-wash skinny jeans and blue and white stripped long-sleeved shirt.

Now the commotion around the fire was weird. Guys and girls with mini harps and guitars danced around and sang. The rest of the campers sang and danced in their seats under banners with different symbols...like an owl, a bloody spear, and grape vines and many, many more. There were four campers that really didn't do much of anything. There was a blonde girl with curly hair (jealous of) and a girl with choppy hair trying to comfort her. Then two boys behind them, one tall blonde one who was talking to a bit shorter boy with curly black hair who was covered in oil and had a tool belt and was working on something that looked awfully close to a Wii remote. Then another girl with curly red hair (does everyone have curls?) went over to them to talk. My heart sunk. She reminded me of my mother. Then this man on a horse came over...wait a centaur? Where was I? The centaur said something and blonde girl raised her head. But who was in her line of vision? Me. She stood up and started over. The centaur, boys, and girls with her looked to see where she was going. The centaur followed the blonde girl. The singing slowly stopped and everyone looked to see where they were going. Then I was spotted and an uncomfortable wave of awkwardness swept over me.

"Hey! How long have you been standing there?" the blonde asked, her grey eyes looking me over as if she was analyzing me for any threats. Which, believe me, she would not know based off of my small statue.

"Uhhh....like a few minutes?" I stammered, looking at all the faces. I was nervous, I've never been looked at by this many people before at once. It caused my palms to get sweaty and I felt my ears get flushed.

"What's your name?" she asked. The centaur looked down at me encouraging me to answer.

"Mia Baine." I said. Everyone stared at me whispering amongst them.

"Why wasn't she chased in by monsters? Or why is she here so late?" the kid with the black hair said.

"Leo, maybe she was. Right?" the choppy-haired girl said looking at the centaur.

"No, Piper. We would've heard." the centaur said.

"But Chiron, we were all quite loud." the red-head said.

"Rachel we would've heard Peleus breathing fire." the blonde said.

"I guess so." Rachel said. "But how did she find this place?"
