"Okay, how bout this one?" Ash said. "What kind of hair do oceans have?"
"What?" I mumbled behind my lunch.
"Wavy!" Ash laughed. Acacia giggled as she ate strawberries.
"Funny." I rolled my eyes. "Mine will be better."
"Oh now?" Ash raised his eyebrows. I winked.
"What did one volcano say to the other one?"
"What!" Acacia smiled.
"I lava you!" I cooed and jabbed at Acacia and Ash. I learned that they've been dating for three years. They both blushed and Ash grinned, Acacia still had her sweet smile on her face.
"Cute, clever. But still, mine was better." Ash bragged.
"Oh whatever!" I smiled giving him a shove. "Anyways, how's it been being off from your nature duties."
"Good and bad." Ash sighed. "I mean it's nice coming back and seeing Acacia,"
Acacia blushed and smiled even more.
"But at the same time, I wish I was out cleaning small streams with naiads or picking garbage off the highway sides. There's always more work, even if we already did so much."
"It's never enough." Acacia agreed looking at her boyfriend. Her smile turned into a small frown.
"Not to be rude, but it's depressing listening to you talk about litter and poor environments." I said getting up and stretching my back. "But I'm going to the sword arena. Catch you later."
"See you!"
"Bye!"
I waved and smiled and ran off to the sword arena. They were both really nice, and I surely didn't expect to become close friends with a satyr and a nymph. But as my friendship was growing with them, so was mine with Clarisse. Yes she was aggressive and demanding, but she had a soft side. And if you don't believe me, ask Chris, her boyfriend, all about that side. But she is a hot-head at times, hopefully Connor and Travis didn't do something to annoy her--yet.
I arrived at the arena where Clarisse sat waiting in her red armor.
"Hey." I greeted slipping on my armor that a brought out earlier in case I was late, though it seems I'm early.
"Hey. Your here first, that's good." Clarisse said getting up and cracking her neck.
"Why is it good I'm here first. Didn't you want to show us something?"
"I did, but I told everyone else to come later."
"Oh." I shrugged. "What's it about?"
"I'm not sure, and right now you're the only sensible one here. I'd ask Annabeth but she's too distracted with the whole Percy thing." Clarisse rolled her eyes.
"Mhm."
"Anyways, it's almost March and it's only four months until the Argo II sets sail to the Roman camp." she paused, and sighed through her nose. "What I'm saying is I'm getting this feeling that something bad is going to happen."
"Of course something bad is going to happen. There's a quest and those don't go as planned. And the Giant War."
"No, I mean something we're not expecting. I've had dreams about a fight going on, but it was blurry and far away, but you could hear the sound of the fighting."
Clarisse met my eyes and seemed genuinely worried. Like she feared the future.
"My, my. That's a lot to look at. But if your right, are we preparing for the wrong war?" I questioned raising a brow.
