Pollux and I waited for the others to arrive at our cabin. Darcy, Connor, and Travis we're already here, and had Will went to get the others. We brought in the table and stuck it between two bunks so two can sit on one side, two on the other. The chairs were brought in for extra seating. Pullox sat in one of the chairs, I sat on the bunk with Darcy, Connor and Travis sat opposite of us.

"I think we'll need more room." Darcy said, looking around the cramped table. It should only seat four people max, so we were all brushing elbows.

"We'll move down for Miranda to sit with us, Will will sit on the end." I replied, gesturing to the empty chair.

"Okay, but what if someone else comes?" Connor asked.

"Then you'll move down." Pollux said impatiently.

"Fine." Travis said a little upset. Maybe we should have just brought in the chairs.

"You'll live." Darcy sighed. Then Will walked through the door, his smile lighting up the room. Miranda followed in. That was it.

"Mark wanted to come, but he had to clean his cabin. His siblings aren't very tidy." Will said.

"He said he'd pass the plan around to the rest of our team. He's the only one in his cabin who's here right now." Miranda continued. They sat down and we began our meeting.

"Okay. First things first, we have a strong defense, they have a strong offense." Pollux stated getting everyone on the same page.

"Yes. So obviously my siblings and I will guard the border, the flag." Will said.

"And my siblings and I will be the distraction and scouts." Miranda said.

"Hermes will be the fighters along with Dionysus." Connor said. Something seemed odd.

"Question. Ummm, how many times have you done this before? It seems like clock work." I asked.

"A few." Pollux said, then realizing how dumb it was.

"Oh gods we've been doing the same thing!" Will put his head in his hands.

"No wonder we can't ever win! They already know where we're at!" Travis said looking humiliated. They all did. Darcy and I looked at each other and grinned. We have a plan--or she did, I listened.

"Okay first things first." Darcy said getting everyone's attention. "Apollo and Hermes cabins will be in the trees, armed with bows scattered evenly throughout the woods. Demeter cabins will be scouts in trios trying to find the flag, and will use their plant skills to hide themselves in the woods or stop the other team from advancing."

"Okay, but why not have the archers more dense in an area, maybe not near the flag so they'd be tricked." Connor said.

"Well if we did that, it would work on the Ares kids, maybe other campers, but if the Athena children were the ones to find it, then they'd figure it out and go where our defenses are weak." I answered, looking between Darcy and Pollux for validation.

"The flag will be guarded by Connor and Travis. You will place some snares randomly around the area, where we all know where they're at, "she paused, giving them a quick warning look, "and there will be archers hidden around the flag, ways away, so if it's caught, we have a chance to get it back. But who is placed there, won't shoot until the flag is caught and either Connor or Travis will shout 'flag'" Darcy continued.

"Pollux and I will also be scouts. The others cabins like the Nike cabin, will be the one who meet the other team head on. And if anyone sees our team with the flag, and your not fighting anyone run to the flag and guard the person with the flag. If your already fighting, then keep them distracted." I paused for the others to soak that in. "If the other teams gets the flag, then anyone who sees it does their best to slow them down. And does anyone know who our other partners in arms are?" I asked.

"Yes. The Hecate and Iris cabins. No other minor children are here." Miranda replied.

"Good. Butch is a good fighter. I'll let him know the plan." Will said.

"I'll tell Lou-Ellen the plan." Miranda said. Everyone looked anxious for tomorrow. We dismissed the meeting and everyone left with smiles on their faces.

Once everyone left Pollux and I took the tables back outside and began getting for dinner, that wasn't for an hour.

"That is a pretty good plan." Pollux said with a grin.

"Darcy came up with most of it. I just cleaned up some places. She also thought of tricking them by dense archers away from the flag, but that wouldn't help if the flag was found before seeing the cluster." I said.

"Ahh, good. We can't have any flaws. But maybe the attacks should be hidden, so we can ambush them."

"But if we did that, then we'll be spread too thin and they'd pick us off easier." I said sitting on my bunk getting out a book.

"Yeah. Okay, you're dyslexic right?" I nodded. "Then how can you be reading!" Pollux questioned.

"I dunno?" I shrugged and opened my book and began to read.

"Okay." Pollux shook his head."I'm going to go talk to Will."

He left me to my silence. I read for about 15 minutes and only got four pages in, then my mind replayed the last few days. The one thing that stuck out in my mind was what Will asked Darcy to do for him. Or asked her. I'll have to remember to ask her later, before she leaves Saturday morning.

I heard the horn for dinner, getting up and metting Pollux before we went to have dinner. He seemed really excited, so did the rest of the camp. The capture the flag game was going to be really exciting tomorrow night. I enjoyed myself the rest of the evening and fell asleep reviewing the plan.
