EPISODE EIGHT: HOMECOMING
"After the spectacle at Times Square yesterday involving the return of the mysterious vigilante called Spider-Man, many are left wondering about the vigilante's true intentions. After a brief appearance following the horrendous September Bank Massacre that left fifteen officers dead and ten injured, with one in critical condition still to this day, the vigilante had been seen taking in street criminals of all shapes and sizes in. While this is not confirmed, his activities were rumored to be involved with the robbery. Then, without even a trace Spider-Man disappeared, until yesterday when the mutant Pyro, notorious for working with the Brotherhood of Mutants, and accomplice Whirlwind took over Times Square in an effort to bring the Web Slinging hero out into the open..." the reporter on the news spoke, but Stiles wasn't paying attention as he and Scott sat there eating dinner that night. They had spent the majority of the day spending time at the McCall household playing video games and catching up.
Stiles had eaten up the gossip he had missed out on, like how close Jackson and Norman had gotten, it was a weird one but he shrugged it off knowing that Norman was probably being manipulative like always. Flash and Erica were indeed a couple, he was happy about that... thrilled really. He'd be lying if it didn't make him a bit sad knowing that his relationship with her only ended because of Harris, but it didn't matter right now, did it? Apparently, Lydia was now more popular than ever, getting attention because of how she supposedly cheated on Jackson with Stiles... which Stiles laughed at only because they hadn't gotten together.
"Are you sure the two of you aren't a thing, because why do you think you need to apologize to her before you see her?" Scott asked as Stiles sighed, hoping he wouldn't have to explain that one part of his goodbye to her in the locker room.
"Well, we're technically not a thing Scott. You see, it's more that... well, you know how you and Harry always wanted me to perform this big spectacle to get her attention and win her heart?"
"Yeah..." Scott started as he took a drink, and then stopped, with wide eyes spitting his drink out in shock. "YOU DIDN'T!"
"I might have kissed her goodbye before I left."
"THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!" Scott howled with joy as he jumped onto the couch cushion as Stiles leaned back with shock. "SHE'S FREAKING IN LOVE WITH YOU MAN! YOU GOT LYDIA MARTIN TO FALL FOR YOU! SHE'S BEEN ACTING ALL WEIRD LATELY AND OH MY GOD, AFTER ALL THESE FREAKING YEARS!"
"Uh, Scott..." Stiles tried piping in as Scott continued rambling.
"This explains why she didn't want to talk about you at the diner yesterday... why it was so weird that she was so guilty about that last talk you guys had when you didn't say bye to me. The no response to texts... holy crap, it all makes sense now. The two of you did kiss... but Lydia told me that the reason her and Jackson broke up was because he saw some footage of the two of you kissing, but if you only kissed her before you left... then how did he see the footage... oh man I need to write down these theories and-" Stiles slapped Scott lightly on the face to get him out of his thoughts. "Uh, you say something?"
"Scott, enough with the fangirling for a moment. I know you are basically the one guy in the world that wants us together, but come onnnn...." Stiles groaned as Scott stepped down off of the couch and took in a deep breath.
