Arguably, Alexei would be the easiest Romanov to spot. During his time in Ipatiev House he became so ill he couldn't walk, and his haemophillia was severe throughout his life. Despite his condition, he tried to stay active like any other boy his age. Being the tsesarevich, the next in line for the throne, just emphasised the idea that he should be a fit, healthy, active child.
With the demanding nature of his position as heir, Alexei's family felt the need to protect and care for him even more. He was regularly referred to as "Baby", even to his last days.
He was so young, it's hard to get a solid idea of what he would look like as an adult. The last image we have of him is from his time on the Rus ship, at thirteen years old in 1918.
There are no more pictures of him with his mother after this point.
