Lily's POV
I woke up in the middle of the night, judging by the darkness in the room. I looked at my right, at Catherine, but noticed she was busy on her phone.
"Catherine?"
She looked at me and now I noticed she was actually in the middle of a call. She smiled a bit at me before looking away again, though she opened her arms for me.
I went to lay in her arms, my head resting onto her chest as I listened to her conversation.
When she was done talking, she ended the call. She sighed.
I sat up. "And?" I assumed this was about Emily.
She shook her head. "Nothing," She put her phone away on the nearby table. "The Echo group infiltrated the CAT building successfully."
"But that's good," I smiled a bit but dropped it immediately as I noticed Catherine's facial expression. "Right?"
Catherine looked down then. "Emily wasn't there," She looked at me. "She was removed."
I gulped. "What does that mean?"
Catherine shrugged. "Maybe the execution doesn't happen at the CAT building," She then groaned. "If those monsters dare to touch my hianag I'll - "
"Haewa," I put my hand onto Catherine's chest, noticing signs of her turning into Vamrin or even Bloodborn. "We'll get her back," I caressed Catherine's face and immediately her frown vanished. "I promise."
Catherine smiled at me. "I thought I made that promise to you?"
I shrugged. "And I make that promise to you."
She smiled. "You're the best," She laid down again, wrapping her arms around me. "I'm so happy you're my haewa."
I wrapped my arms around her neck. "I'm happy to be yours."
We then leaned in and kissed each other before staying in that position to get some more rest. We clearly both wanted to make love to each other, especially in this wedding suite, but our daughter was all that mattered now. I hope she's in good hands...

Emily's POV
Ever since we had left the CAT building, nothing was said between me and this mysterious man. He was driving somewhere while I was trying to form a picture of where I was. I looked outside and tried looking for some points of recognition but, since it was dark outside, I didn't see any.
After some time, he parked the car at a house. A rather small house, especially compared to my house...
He turned to look at me. "You wait here," He opened the car door. "I'll come and get you."
Before I could answer, he closed the door and walked into the house. I gulped as I felt uncomfortable. I couldn't shake off the feeling of fleeing. Should I just run? But I didn't know where I was, I'd get lost...
I looked outside the window again, trying to recognize anything. But, once again, I failed. Maybe tomorrow, when it's light outside...
Suddenly, the man came back. He walked to my side of the car and opened the door for me. "Come on," He said to which I got out. He closed to door for me and locked the car. He then motioned me to follow him which I hesitantly did. "This is my wife." He motioned to a woman, who had been waiting inside the house.
I smiled at the woman, who seemed rather emotional. "Hello," I extended my hand. "Nice to meet you."
The woman shook my hand and smiled at me. "It's very nice to meet you too," She squeezed my hand a bit before letting go. "Emily, is it?"
