Emily's POV

I blinked a few times before I noticed where I was. I was in the red room, on the ground, in the middle of the room.

I sat up and noticed the lights and cameras were still on and thus people were still watching me. "Hello?" I said to a camera. "Can I get out? I need to go to the bathroom."

No answer came.

I sighed as I realized they would keep me here for much longer.

But I was wrong, as the many locks were opened and the door too. "Young Superior," The BC said, entering the room with zaezzes and aunt Esmee. "Your stay in the red room is over."

I raised my eyebrows. "Over?"

They all nodded.

I then looked around, trying to remember when I did turn. They wouldn't let me go out unless I had turned. So when did I? And how was it?

"It went well," Aunt Esmee said as if she could read my mind. "You turned into Sanco relatively fast, as I'm sure you can still remember."

I nodded.

"You turned into Vamrin soon after." She smiled a bit.

I slowly nodded. Something was off... "And Bloodborn?"

They all looked at each other before looking at me. "It never came." Zaezzes said.

I raised my eyebrows. "It never came?"

They shook their heads before smiles found their way onto their faces.

I immediately smiled too. "So does that mean...?"

"We think so," Aunt Esmee said. "You didn't turn, we assume you indeed got rid of it."

I smiled more. "Really?" But my smile dropped fast. "But I didn't mate with my number one potential," I then looked at them. "How can I have gotten rid of Bloodborn without that?"

This time zaezzes stepped forward and put a hand on my shoulder. "You once told your mother that you believed she might not be your number one potential," She started to which I slowly nodded. "We now agree."

I blinked a few times. "So mom is not my number one potential?"

"Only the number one potential would get rid of Bloodborn," The BC said. "It has been written in the ancient books we have," They then looked at me. "Since you have gotten rid of it but never connected with your mother, she can't possibly be your number one potential."

I then slowly smiled. "But Jen is," I then looked at zaezzes. "Where is she?"

"In your room, she needed to rest."

I nodded. "Thanks for this, I'll be going to my haewa." I then ran off and hurried outside. There I waited as I realized we were at the BC building and I wouldn't get home without a ride.

"Are you coming?" Zaezzes said as she passed me. She walked to her car. "Get in."

I smiled and got in her car.

She then started the engine and drove us back home.

On our way over, nothing was really said for a while. I was impatiently waiting to get back to Jen while zaezzes seemed to be thinking about things.

"You know," She started. "For years I worried that my father's destiny would be ours," She then glanced at me. "I'm so happy you will never go down that path."

"You won't either, zaezzes," I smiled at her. "You've been doing well for too many years."

She smiled a bit but didn't seem convinced. "I hope so," She looked back at the road. "I never want to hurt your mother. It would kill me."

I looked down then. "Me too."

"Hianag," She said, gaining my attention. "Promise me you'll keep your mother safe at any cost."

I gulped as I realized what she was asking of me. But I wasn't scared or unsure, I knew what had to be done in case she would turn. She had been teaching me ever since birth. "I promise."

She smiled and seemed much calmer.

We arrived home and I immediately hurried to my room. I entered and smiled when I saw my beloved number one potential sleep.

I walked to her and gently went to lay down next to her. I then simply observed her. She was my number one potential. Not only was she my first kiss, my first love, my first time, having my first baby, but she was my first and only potential too. She literally was my first everything. And I couldn't feel more thankful.

She suddenly opened her eyes. "Hey," She smiled a bit, she seemed sleepy still. "You're here."

"I am," I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer to me though, since she was almost going to give birth, her baby bump was in the way. But I didn't mind, it made me smile. "I missed you two."

"We missed you too." She smiled a bit but I could see something was bothering her.

"Hey," I scooted even closer, our noses almost touching each other. "What's wrong?"

 Jen looked down.

"Did something happen while I was gone?"

She looked at me then. "How did it go?"

I then backed off a bit. "You didn't see it?" I asked to which she shook her head. "Well, I turned, they observed me," I saw her getting a bit worried and suddenly I understood as I had seen that emotion before. "And I didn't change into Bloodborn."

Jen immediately looked at me. "You didn't?"

I shook my head.

She let out a breath of relief. "So it's gone?"

I slowly nodded.

She smiled until that smile turned into a frown. "But I thought only your number one potential could get rid of it?"

I nodded yet again, hoping she'd catch on. And, by the looks of it, she did. "It turns out my number one potential isn't my mom but..."

"Me?"

I nodded yet again. "You are my number one in everything, haewa."

Jen smiled even more. "So we're good?"

"We are," I pecked her nose. "I can only turn into Sanco or Vamrin, both of which you are safe from," I pulled her closer to me. "You don't have to be afraid, haewa." I whispered that last part.

She smiled a bit. "I'm trying not to be afraid," She then finally wrapped her arms around me. "But you mean the world to me and I mean the world to you," She said. "I know we'll be fine together."

I smiled before nodding. "We will be fine."
