Isabel held the beaker in her hand, staring intensely at the bubbling, foaming concoction inside. She didn't know exactly what it was, beyond the fact that it was a poison of some sorts. A poison that just happened to have landed in the drink of one of her teammates. But why anyone would try to poison the teammate of a Circian, Isabel would never know. Perhaps it was because she was Circian. Perhaps it was because they knew what her power was, and they wanted blackmail of some sort. But what they didn't know was that Circians dealt with potions practically daily in their homeland, but Isabel was pleasantly surprised to have to deal with them once again outside of it. However, she wasn't pleased that it was because one of her teammates was poisoned.

She knew she had to figure out what the poison was so she could create an antidote for it. She was the only one on the team that knew how. Sure, she could leave it up to the humans to figure it out, but that could take days, if not weeks. Her teammate didn't have that long, so it was up to her. She knew her way around a human laboratory, although she preferred the labs back in Circia. But she wasn't in Circia anymore, and she had promised herself she wasn't going back. So she would just have to make do. Another teammate came up behind her and asked a question about the poison, and Isabel answered in terms a human would understand, using what they called "chemistry". He nodded when she gave her answer and reminded her that their teammate was running out of time.

Isabel knew. And she also knew that when she found out who had poisoned her teammate, there would be hell to pay.

Morgan, luckily, caught Akilah before she hit the ground, his mind trying to figure out what the hell had just happened. When she had asked why he had cared so much, he couldn't find the right words to say. He had always believed that actions spoke louder than words, and this night was no exception. So, instead of telling her why he cared, he showed her instead. And damn, had that kiss been worth it. He knew he shouldn't have kissed her, seeing as inter-bureau relationships were pretty much forbidden. But he just had to let her know that he cared about her. That, and, given a little more time, he might even fall for her. But just as he asked if she understood now, she hadn't given him an answer. So he asked what was wrong, and that was when she collapsed.

And now he needed to figure out why, and what the hell he was supposed to do. He looked down at her, but she was completely limp in his arms, and when he said her name, there was no response. She was completely out of it. He heard a commotion inside the bar they had just been in, and he heard someone scream for an ambulance. The agent in him immediately wanted to go inside and see what was going on, but he couldn't quite do that while he had Akilah. But in the end, he adjusted Akilah so he was carrying her bridal-style, and hurried back towards the bar. If anyone questioned him, he could just say he was looking for help. Hopefully they would believe it.

When he got back inside the bar, it was total chaos. At least half of the occupants were in the same condition as Akilah, and the other half was losing their damn minds. They, too, were trying to figure out why their friends and fellow drinkers had all of a sudden lost consciousness, but they weren't nearly as calm about it as Morgan was. Well, he wasn't very calm on the inside, but he didn't let that show on the outside. Especially not now. Someone needed to be calm. Looking around, he quickly set Akilah inside a booth, apologizing for leaving her. Not that she responded or even really knew what was going on. He didn't want to abandon her, but the agent in him needed to find out more. He needed information, and he wasn't sure how well he could go about that while carrying an unconscious woman.

"What happened?" he asked the nearest woman, but she simply stammered for a few moments, tears running down her face. Tears. He had seen Akilah cry tonight.
