~Sky's PoV~
Wide awake, I laid in my bed and continued to stare at the wall. Yesterday had been my first day in eleven years, I've spoken to Ty. He's changed so much, I can't believe he's the shy 6 year old I met over a decade ago.
I shifted out of my bed to my feet and made my way to the window. It felt like it only happened yesterday, we meet, went through hell and then...escaped. Instead, we found each other, both free and normal..well except for our abilities that were are careful to hide.
~~Flashback~~
I couldn't stop shaking, my hands were bonded by ropes and I was surrounded by frightened kids around my age, maybe even younger.
My mother had told me not to stay out late or the monsters would come out to get me. I knew mobs only spawned in dark places and since our neighborhood was lit up, I thought there was nothing to be afraid of. I was wrong, the monsters mom was talking about were the scientist from the facilities.
"W-what are you going to do to us?" I stuttered out.
One the mans in a white coat stopped by me and slapped me to my knees. I tried asking again, louder this time and ended up being punched in the stomach. The man told me to shut it or I'd be the first to go out of the group.
Defeated, I sat down. I scanned over the crowd of kids, huddled together and shaking with fear. A boy caught my eye, his green eyes stood out and seemed alive....something was different about him from the others. Slowly, I inched closer to him.
"Hey," I whispered.
He glanced at me, only to shake his head a little to let his hair fall over his eyes. I moved the boys hair out of his face.
"My names Adam, but my friends call me Sky." I introduced myself.
"I'm Ty.." Ty whispered.
"I promise, we're going to get out of here Ty."
Ty stared at me. "We are?"
I nodded with a confident smile. He grinned back at me.
"Hey Sky, can we be friends?"
"Best friends."
Ty held out his pinky and I grabbed it with my pinky.
"I promise Ty, we are not going to die in this hell."
~~Flashback over~~
~Ty's PoV~
I can't take it anymore. My body trembled as my wings sprouted from my back, every night it was the same: sleepless and in constant fear.
Eleven years ago, the scientist tried to make me a weapon, by injecting the Enderdragon's blood into my system. I ended up being 95% human and 5% ender. The 5% gave me another form, where I have Enderdragon wings, piercing purple eyes and scales running up and down my arms adding sharp claws to my hands. The experiment on me failed due to my Ender half being uncontrollable.
That's what gave me an advantage at least when Sky and I escaped.
Seto helps me through each night though, casting spells on me to quiet my Ender half. Tonight's different though, I've felt something changing since Sky and I talked yesterday.
"Seto! S-Seto!" I yelled, the pain overwhelmed me.
He slammed open the door and glanced at my purple eyes that flickered green.
"I-I can't c-control it!" I stuttered out. Black scales crawled up my arms and my fingers became sharp like knifes, the Ender half of me was taking over.
"This isn't good, it's worse than before! I don't understand why though!" Seto said. He laid his hands on my shoulders and shut his eyes, reciting a spell he usually used on me whenever I morphed.
I felt nothing change, as did Seto. He glanced at me and took a quick look at my wings, then my eyes.
"Ty, do you remember anything that the scientist told you after they experi- changed you?" Seto asked.
I dug deep into my memories and tried to remember what they said to me after they made me half Ender.
"Your soul purpose as a hybrid with Ender abilities is to kill Herobrine. You can't deny it Tyler, it's in your genes now."
Sky.
Sky has the abilities of Herobrine.
They programmed me to kill my best friend.
