~Seto's PoV~
A black mist fades from my vision as I awaken in a pair of chains, locked on my wrist. I notice the Nether brick carpet under my feet and realize; I'm in the Nether. I tug on the heavy metal chains and curse under my breath, they're magic resistant. Ghast and Wither skeletons murmur outside my jail cell and seem to ignore me, until they become defensive, once I hear footsteps approaching me.
"Shut up you mindless mobs!" Someone shouted, ordering the hostile creatures to be quiet. They walked into sight and I narrowed my eyes when I spotted the flash of blond hair. Britney. She grinned at me and asked how I was doing, her Herobrine-like eyes piercing my soul.
"I have nothing to say to to you." I mumbled.
Britney opened the cell, stepped in and locked the door right behind her. "Seto, you seem upset."
"You should have stayed dead!" I yelled.
She grabbed my chin and forced me to stare at her glowing white eyes. "Why? So you wouldn't have to deal with the guilt-"
"I'm cursed to carry the guilt of killing you everyday, dead or alive it's stuck with me."
"Then why do you wish for me to be dead?"
"You're dead alright, just the living dead...a sick, loyal servant to Herobrine. If you had just gone to purgatory, you could've gone to the Aether and be done with life!"
"But I wasn't done living! I wanted to escape with you and leave the facility for good, but you murdered me instead with no hesitation!" Britney released my chin and faced the outside, gripping the metal bars. "I couldn't move on Seto, I had to find a way to live."
"I fought for control as hard as I could, I tried to overcome the feeling of wanting blood...but I couldn't. I wanted only the best for you and thought you'd be smarter. I just can't believe you thought Herobrine would be the answer. He's corrupted you with evil and has no intention to help you in any way! He wants you to carry out his will, yours means nothing to him."
"You know, if we had never carried out that failed escape plan that day, we would've been still alive."
"Stop trying to make me feel even guiltier about your death! Don't you remember what you said to me before we went out in that arena? You said never to forget who you are, but it seems like you're the one who's forgotten!"
She turned to face me and leaned against the bars. "I haven't forgotten anything Seto, you're the one who changed everything. I shouldn't have listened to you that day, that unfaithful day you arrived at the facility!"
I tried to hold back the tears leaking out of my eyes. "Did he send you to try and break me...or did you come at your own will to remind me of the past? We can't change the past Brit, but I can change the future."
"What makes you so sure of that? You're stuck in the Nether, powerless and weak."
"Unlike you, I have friends and with Mitch, they'll find me. They will come save Adam and I before you know it."
Her shoulders slugged and she met my eyes. "You and you're friend will be long gone before they have a chance."
My eyes widened and I felt my stomach drop. "W-what have you done with Adam?" I stuttered. I clench my fist and grind my teeth. "He's done nothing to you! You have no right to burden him with your intentions!"
"Apparently, you didn't know Herobrine as much as I though you did." Britney smirked. She exited the cell and walked away.
"Adam...please...stay strong.." I whispered helplessly to myself.
~3rd Person PoV~
Britney walked away with no sign of emotion in her expression and left the frail sorcerer left to rot in the cell. She strolled down the long walkway made of nether bricks and smiled as she made it to the entrance of the castle.
"You're late, where have you've been?" Herobrine asked, clearly inpatient and angry.
"I was just walking around the neighborhood, nothing to worry about Brine." Britney answered.
"I told you not to interfere with the sorcerer-"
"And I didn't." Britney stated, staring into Herobrine's cold white eyes. She faced forward and sighed. "Are you done with the other one yet?"
"As a matter of fact; I am. Although a small part of him is still fighting against my spell, it's nothing to worry about. He's under total control."
"Well let's test his strength, throw him into the arena and send the sorcerer to challenge him. He'll have no choice but to fight for his life."
"Get the Wither skeletons to fetch the sorcerer, I'll escort Skybrine to the arena."
'This is wrong, all of this is wrong.'
The blonde spun around in the direction of the cells and narrowed her eyes. 'I know, but I don't care.'
