~???'s PoV~
I watched the boy with shades toss and turn in his sleep, unaware of what was happening to his best friend. I laughed at the though of a "friend", what's the point of them if they betray you in the end? You're left alone when everything's over, no point of having any.
Although the boy was a failed experiment from the facility, he still possessed powers much like mine. Eleven years have passed and he barley knows anything about them. It's strange how he can reject so much power and yet, cave into it every now and then. Someone had to teach him how to control them, right? What better person to show his abilities than the person who gave then to the boy?
"I hope you are as strong as I expect you to be, Adam. This will be your first test." I whispered to myself.
Then I entered his dream.
~Sky's PoV~
I sat on the edge of the cliff, letting my thoughts flow freely like the mountain breeze. Angrily, I ripped off my sunglasses and stared at my eyes in the reflection of the glasses, they glowed a bright white. I wanted to throw my glasses away, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. If I did...then the scientists would find me in less than a day.
"Sky, you okay buddy?" A friendly voice asked.
I shoved my glasses up my face and turned to the voice. "Ty? What are you doing here I thought-"
My friend cut me off by raising his hand in the air. "Sky, what happened to the hyper and joyful guy I knew eleven years ago? You would always tried to make me smile and keep my spirits up."
I grinned. "Maybe we switched rolls over the years, you're trying to make me smile now."
He took off my sunglasses. "Sky, you have to accept who you are, with or without your shades: you're Sky. You are strong, you're brave and confident about anything."
I pulled Ty into a hug and whispered in his ear. "What did you do with Ty, Herobrine?"
Quickly, I tore away from him and reached for my shades. "Give them back!"
Herobrine laughed and shaved off Ty's appearance, reveling himself. He took my glasses and snapped them in half, then tossed the pieces over the side of the cliff.
"Oh don't act so mad, you don't need those anymore."
I clutched my fist and faced Herobrine. "Whatever you want, I'm not giving it up."
"Ah, so you do acknowledge your abilities but refuse to show them? Such a shame, I can't allow abilities so unique like yours to go to waste though."
Herobrine pinned me to the ground and stared at me, strait in the eyes. A strange energy erupted in me, forcing me into the back of my mind and my limbs going numb.
"W-what are you doing?" I stuttered.
"It appears you aren't using you abilities anytime soon, why let them fade away when I can use them? Makes sense, am I right?"
I fought back and tried to regain control, but he overpowered me. Herobrine simply laughed at my useless effort, he knew it wasn't possible. The once blue sky morphed into a dark red atmosphere, water replaced with lava and the ground covered in netherrack and soulsand.
"This is my world, I control the Nether so I control you Adam!"
I smiled. "Maybe in your world Herobrine, but your forgetting two important factors."
I vanished from Herobrine's grip and re-appeared right behind him, to fast for him realize my fist colliding with his face.
"One, this is the Overworld, the Aether, Notch's world!"
He collapsed to the ground and showed fear in his white eyes that reflected mine. A diamond sword materialized in my hand.
"And two," I shoved the sword in his chest, earring a scream from Herobrine. "This is my dream, my world."
His body disappeared, replacing the smooth clear sky and grass with the black void.
"You're much stronger than I thought, Adam. This was your first test."
"Test, do you think this is some game? You choose to enter my dream, where I rule over everything. You can't control me, Herobrine."
"You may have prevented me from taking over you this time, Adam. Who's to say I won't be back?" Herobrine's voice echoed.
~Ty's PoV~
"Seto, you need to get out of here, now!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
The sorcerer glanced down and me and rested his hands on his knees. "I can't leave you to suffer Ty, there has to be another way. The Enderdragon will not win!"
I stared at Seto with pleading eyes, only to see my own purple eyes reflect of his brown eyes. My Enderdragon-like wings rested on the floor, attached to my back while scales continued to grow up my arms. It was hopeless, he was winning.
"It's no use S-Seto, you have to warn Sky at least! I could never live with myself if any of my friends died by hand!" I begged.
Seto locked eye contact with me one last time before he finally agreed to leave and warn Sky.
"Don't stop fighting, Ty. I'll have Mitch and Jerome leave the house too, but promise me you'll fight for control."
I promised Seto and with that, he left. I stood up and leaned against the wall for support. My vision faded along with Seto's voice, warning the others to stay alert.
Then everything went black.
