Heaven In Devil's Arms

▪ EPILOGUE ▪

The moment I lost the power to kill a devil is also the moment I had lost my purpose in this Earth. Wala nang silbi pa ang deadline ko at ang kulay abo kong pakpak.

I am now a fallen angel.

I betrayed heaven. I didn't do my mission and even killed the power heaven bestowed in me. I changed into my angel form only to see my gray feathers turning black. When it will fully turn to black, I will be a demonic entity. I can't wander to Earth anymore while being a lost angel.

"Let's go Shaina." Elijah held my hand. I flinched a little when he touched the scalded part. He changed into his devil form and my heart broke when I saw some of his feathers are turning gray as it is also slowly vanishing.

"Elijah your wings." I said in a worried voice. "Save yourself Elijah, go back to hell. Doon din naman ako pupunta diba?" I added while suppressing my tears but I couldn't help it. I know I wouldn't be with him, I will stay in human realm and this world, this will devour my soul.

"Not unless I have save you Shaina." He answered as he gently pulled me outside.

Before he could even open the door we heard three knocks. The door knob clicked and we just let it open as Mang Erwin stepped in. It's early in the morning, I remembered he was looking for Elijah yesterday. I didn't had the chance to tell Elijah about it because of the problem we're dealing with.

We stayed still on our positions. As we let him wander his eyes around the house as his gazes stopped in Elijah's dark coal eyes. Bakit basta basta lang siya pumasok at parang nakikita niya si Elijah? Elijah's grip got tighter and I just flinched in pain.

"Uh-ah, you can't just go away Elie." Mang Erwin smirked as I saw how his body lightened and turned into angel form.

Mang Erwin is an angel?

Or should I say..

Enoch.

That explains Mang Erwin's scald in his leg because he was never a mid-aged man who looks good-hearted. The scald was from Elijah's power when we met Enoch on the forest.

"E-enoch.." I stuttered in surprise. I took a step back. Who is really he?

"Metatron." Elijah uttered through his gritted teeth. I saw anger in his eyes. Is he referring to Archangel Metatron? So he is Elijah's---

"Why are you mad brother? I am just here to invite you for breakfast." Enoch smirked with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. That explains the familiarity in Mang Erwi--- Enoch's facial expressions. It seems familiar because he is Elijah's brother.

"Bastard." Devil angrily uttered. "Let us go or I'll fucking kill you!" He said.

"Shaina can go, brother. If only if, she can go." Enoch laughed devilishly. A devil laugh in angel form, it's ironic.

I lowered my head as I felt a stung in my heart. Did Elijah's brother just betrayed him? What his brother has to do with all of this? Why are they doing this to us? What sin did we commit?

Is even falling inlove a sin?

"Who gave you the right to call her Shaina?!" Devil shouted as his other hand casted out fire towards Enoch but the latter dodged it.

"You don't own her anymore, Elijah. The world owns her now, this sinful world. It will devour her soul!" He grimly laughed. "If only you killed him Angeli, you could have been saved. I already told you right? Even Astra warned you! But what my brother did? He removed your memory, now you can't save yourself!" He added as he devilishy laughed harder.
