➸ skylar's pov

Today was Monday. I hated Monday. Even though I get to see Ash, Luke, Cal, and Mikey, it still sucked. I slowly stretched across my bed and turned off my alarm clock. I yawned loudly as I stretched one more time and began to get up for school. I was soon interrupted by a text.

From: Mikey

Sorry I wasn't at school Friday Skylar, I'll be there today :) x

I smiled and replied a quick 'okay' before heading towards the bathroom to take a shower.

Once my hair was dry, I slipped into some jeans and put on a Blink-182 hoodie and quickly applied light makeup and pulled my hair into a bun. I checked my hair one last time before grabbing my backpack and walking outside towards Luke's house.

I bounced up his porch steps and lightly knocked on his front door. He quickly swung open the door and smiled brightly. "Hey Sky, did ya miss me?" He kept his smile plastered on his face as he looked down at me.

I laughed quietly. "It hasn't even been 24 hours since we last saw each other Luke, but sure." He smiled widely, revealing his dimples. He looked down with a shy expression. "You look pretty, Sky. L- like, really pretty."

Luke stuttered over his words as he kept his gaze lowered, fixated at his shoes as he shuffles back and forth anxiously. He played with his lip ring and I could swear I saw a light blush on his cheeks.

"Awh, Lukey. Thank you." I smiled at him as he finally looked up and smiled back. He offered his hand out to me. "Ready for school, Sky?" I took his hand in mine. "No, but we have to go anyways." I mumbled as I rolled my eyes. Luke chuckled at my careless behavior as we began to walk to school.

The first half of school seemed to drag on forever. I excitedly shoved my books into my locker, happy to go to lunch and see Mickey, Ash, and Luke. And maybe Calum.

I rushed into the cafeteria, scanning the large crowd for Luke. I looked at our table and locked eyes with Luke, who was already staring at me, smiling.

Once our eyes met and he realized he had been caught looking, he lowered his gaze to his hands under the table, his smile still on his face. I saw his cheeks heat up slightly.

I grabbed some chips and sat next to Luke. He finally looked up into my eyes again. "Hey Sky." "Hey Lukey." He smiled at me once again. Was he blushing again? He's been blushing a lot lately.

After a few minutes, Ashton and Michael show up at our table and sit down. "Hey Skylar." Ashton said to me with a smile. "Hey Ash." I smiled as I quickly replied. Michael looked at me and gave me a sad smile. I looked at him, confused. He just slightly shook his head and looked down at his food. I shrugged. I was going to have to talk to him later.

In the middle of our meal, I feel awkward. I look up and glance around to see if anyone is looking in my direction. And sure enough, Calum Hood is staring at our table, his eyes switching between all of us but mostly staying on Luke. Luke looks up and their eyes meet.

As Luke stares at Calum, he slowly rests his hand on my thigh like he did Friday. I sighed and leaned into him, finding comfort from his touch. I look over to Calum and the water bottle he was holding has now been crumpled into a ball by his angered hands.

Just as I was about to move my head from Luke's shoulder, I was interrupted by a redhead girl walking by and looking at Luke and I with a smile.

"You two are such a cute couple! How long have y'all been together?" She kept her smile on her face as a boy walked by and stopped at our table, I guess he overheard what the girl asked.

Luke immediately turned red as he stuttered with his words. "Uh, no! I- uh, it's just, um. Uh-" The boy grinned at Luke and loudly praised him as he walked away.

"Luke got himself involved with Skylar? Good job bud!" He smiled widely as he mumbled something in Luke's ear, I couldn't understand it.

As the boy walked off Luke, now an even brighter shade of red, looked down at his hands as we heard the boy telling his table mates about Luke's "new hot babe".

As I glared at the table the boy was seated at, I realized Calum was sitting there too. Calum's face was slightly red and the veins in his neck and forearms were poking out. He suddenly bolted upwards and slammed his tray into the trash bin before he stormed out of the cafeteria, and out of the school.

I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion, curious as to what could make Calum so angry. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Luke.

"You wanna go get ready for our next class? I'm not hungry." I looked back at Luke and slightly smiled. "Sure."

Okayy there's chapter 5! I hope you like it, idk about it yet.
