Holy Shit.

I almost kissed Skylar.

I glanced up from my food to sneak a peak at her. She looked just as uncomfortable as I did. I sighed loudly and set down my fork, looking over to my mum in the process. "Mum, I'm not that hungry. I'm gonna go upstairs." My mum looked at me and slightly smiled. "Okay Hun, just put your plate in the refrigerator." I nodded and walked into the kitchen.

I quickly set my plate in the fridge, closing the door with my foot and turning around. I sighed once again and leaned forward, resting my forearms against the island counter. I closed my eyes in attempt to clear my mind, but it was soon interrupted with the image of Sky underneath me, her eyes closed and lips parted for a kiss. I immediately opened my eyes, which instantly met bright gray ones. I jumped and clutched my chest, trying to calm down my heartbeat.

"Jesus Sky, you scared me." Her face lit up with a smile, and my heart fluttered at the sight. Damn I was so whipped for this girl. She giggled and looked down. "Sorry Lukey." I felt myself smiling at the nickname, as much as I dislike it.

"C'mon, let's go back upstairs." I began to walk out of the kitchen, but I was cut short when I realized Sky wasn't trailing behind me silently like she always does. I turned around to see her glued in the same spot as she stared at me with wide eyes.

I gave her a confused look before realization hit me. I looked everywhere but her. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair before finally speaking up. "Sky, look im sorry that happened. Really. But can we please just forget it? I can't stand this tension." I immediately felt relieved when she gave me a small smile.

"Sure Lukey." I heard her faintly whisper. Then in a matter of seconds she was right in front of me, grabbing my forearm and dragging me up the stairs.

Once we were back in my room she plopped down on my bed and began to rummage through my movies, carefully inspecting each one before setting it back down gently. Sky looked up at me with hopeful eyes, her eyes full of hope. "Luke, can we watch a movie? Like our movie nights in the summer, we can have another one, yeah?" I couldn't help the smile that forced itself upon my face before nodding rapidly and replying.

"Yeah, of course Sky. What movie did you have in mind?"

Sky, of course, picked a classical Disney movie. It resulted in Sky excitedly entering the Lady and the Tramp DVD into the DVD player. Once the movie began, she quickly ran across the room and jumped onto my bed. I chuckled slightly as she curled up and rested her head on my chest. I almost instinctively wrapped my arms around her.

She lightly placed her hands on my chest and snuggled her head into my chest as well. I rested my head on hers, leaving my lips on the top of her head to linger there. I quietly inhaled deeply, basking in the lovely scent of my Sky.

I closed my eyes and listened to the movie rather than watching it. My focus was mostly on Skylar and the fact that she fit perfectly next to me, like my missing puzzle piece. I opened my eyes and took in her features for the thousandth time, and I swear I will never get tired of looking at her.

I just love her silky soft hair, her bright grey eyes, her cute little nose, God I love everything about her.

Skylar shifted slightly and looked up at me. I wanted to look away, to pretend I wasn't staring at her, but I just couldn't. I couldn't help but get lost in her eyes.

She raised her eyebrows at me and smiled slightly. "Luke, why are you staring?" She lightly laughed and smiled wide. I could feel heat rise in my cheeks and I looked away from her.

Because your beautiful. "I don't know."

She turned away to focus back on the movie, moving away from me to sit up. I frowned slightly at the loss of contact, but kept quiet and sat up as well.

"Take a picture, it lasts longer." I barely heard her mumble it. I could feel my cheeks getting redder and I forced myself to calm down.

I quietly pulled my phone out of my pocket and unlocked it. I pretend to be bored while secretly opening the camera. I slowly began to lean to the side and hide my camera behind my arm.

I lightly nudge Sky's leg with my foot. She slowly pulls her gaze from the movie and turns towards me. I smile at her widely, revealing my teeth. She smiles back and slightly laughs. Just as she begins to laugh, I snap the picture.

I remain smiling at her until she pushes me down onto the bed and rests her head on my chest again. I lay my phone behind me and wrap my arms around Sky's small body.

Three movies later, it's becoming dark outside and Skylar's limp body is sprawled across mine. Her head resting on my chest. Little noises occasionally escape her mouth and I can't help but smile at how adorable she is.

I carefully grab my phone and unlock it, revealing the beautiful picture of Sky. She really is perfect. I begin to smile as I study the picture.

Her hair is slightly messy and it rests at the bottom of her back, some falling over her shoulder. Her smile is wide and those small dimples I love are slightly showing. Her bright eyes seem even brighter from the light and there are small crinkles by her eyes.

My smile grows as I set the picture as my home screen. I set my phone back down and return my arms around Skylar, hugging her tightly. I bury my face in her hair and within minutes I'm asleep.

Hey guys I'm so sorry it's been two weeks since I've published another chapter. It's difficult to write a book and stay afterschool for band and basketball. And I had a tournament this weekend and last weekend was a band concert.

I don't have to say much more except for thank you so much for 5.8k that means the world to me that I'm still getting views. :)
