"Okay Val, lets go back to your place!" My brother says after about an hour and a half of hanging out. I furrow my eye brows and laugh. Why would he be excited to go to my house.
We call an Uber and Uber to the apartments. Once we finally arrived. I opened the door and it was oddly very dark, but within a second the lights turn on and everyone jumps out and yells, "surprise!"
I look over at Colby to see him with his camera. The room was filled with my most favorite people of all time. Tara, Devyn, Kat, Cassie, Reggie, Jake, Corey, Kian, Jc, Sam, Kevin, Marie, Brennen, and everybody else.
"Oh my gosh guys! How did you do this without me finding out!?" I ask with shock.
Tara giggles. "It was all Colby's idea actually." She smiles and raises her eyebrows slightly, obviously giving me the "look".
"Thank you guys, I don't deserve this." I say, choking up a little bit. Why was I so emotional?
"No you do, Val. You deserve the world." Says Mr. Brock himself. I couldn't help but let a small smile play on my face. I was so so grateful for everybody in my life.
We were all having fun that night. "Valarie! Open the gifts we got you!" Sam yells. We proceed and I opened gifts.
They got me things like clothes, makeup, Reggie got me a Minecraft gift card, and more. "Thank you guys-"
"Wait! That's not it!" Colby says, cutting me off. "I'll be right back!" He announces and runs out of our apartment. It only took him about 30 seconds for him to come back with a beautiful, puppy in his arms.
"Colby, whose dog?" I ask, curiously.
He smiles, and glances at Sam videotaping. "It's yours, happy birthday." He said, handing the small goldendoodle puppy.
Maybe today was the best day of my life.
