That night was hard to sleep. It was 4 AM, and I still couldn't find myself falling asleep. Colby would be returning home around 5 or 6, I wasn't quite sure. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see him. I definitely didn't want him to see me like this. I still had mascara stained down my face, and I was only wearing my undergarments because I was to hurt to even change.

It had taken me thirty minutes to finally get up. I walked into Colby and I'd closet, that we still shared and I grabbed his large, "now or never" hoodie. I threw it over my body. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants and threw them on, along with slippers. My hair was frizzy, and my makeup was smeared but I didn't care. I simply grabbed my keys and walked out of the apartment. I had no plan on to where I was going, but I didn't hesitate to get in my car and drive wherever my heart took me.

I drove for minutes beyond minutes. I was amazed about how empty and beautiful the city of Los Angeles was at night. There wasn't many cars and the traffic was quite easy to get around. I found myself in the parking lot of a place that I haven't been to in a while. I park the car, and I slowly get out, looking up at the familiar, lit up sign that I hadn't seen in a while.

Danny's Diner.

I enter the building. It was warm compared to outsides frosty weather, and It smelt delicious. I glanced over at the familiar lady behind the counter, she knew who I was, and she smiled briefly. My eyes then shifted to the table that we would always sit in, but I found it to be taken by a figure wearing a black hoodie on, with their back faced towards me.

I edged closer, staring blankly at the back of the persons head. It wasn't long until I could notice the slightly faded blue dye in his hair. It was Colby.

I froze in my position, trying to think of what I would do, but it wasn't long until Colby swung around his head, and he looked at me straight in the eyes. He locked his eyes with mine. He was filled with hurt, pain, and he was obviously way to tired.

I decided to have the guts to sit down on the other side of the booth. "Valarie I-" he tries to speak until I cut him off.

"When's the last time you slept?" I ask, hesitantly.

"What?"

"What's the last time you slept?" I ask again, but more strictly. I was worried about him, and he didn't deserve to hurt like this.

"I haven't slept for three days." He explains, his voice low and quiet. "Why are you here?" He squeaks.

I instantly shrug, looking down at my lap. "I don't know," I blurt out, looking back up at his ocean eyes. "I-I needed to come somewhere that'll give me comfort."

"Why were you crying." He said, his voice becoming deeper and more protective. I had forgotten about my mascara stained face.

I didn't say anything, I looked down. The lady comes up and gives us a menu, and I instantly tell her what I wanted. Colby does the same.

I didn't say a word to him at all. Our food came, and we ate in complete silence. Colby payed for mine and his, but I was too weak to argue over me paying. I glanced out the window to see that the sun was coming up.

"Need a ride back?" I ask, and he slightly nods.

"Let me drive." He demands, and I nod handing him my keys. Like breakfast, or dinner, the ride was silent, the only sound was the radio quietly playing. I noticed more and more cars as the sun rose in this city.

We arrived at the apartments, we got up to our floor and I wiggled next keys in the lock to unlock the door. Colby walked in first while I took the key out of the knob.

I finally got it out then walked inside and quietly closed the front door. "Valarie?" Colby breathed out. I looked at him, his eyes filled with water. I pushed my back against the door.

He walked up to me, cupping his face with both my hands. One single tear rolls down my cheek, but Colby quickly caught it with his thumb and wiped it away. "I-" I began to say, but I was cut off my the familiar feel of Colby's, soft lips pressing against mine.

I kissed him back passionately, my hands moving straight to his neck. He pushed his lips harder against me, deepening the kiss. I felt like I was dreaming.

There was nothing that I wanted more right now. My lips were meant for Colby Brock.

I push myself off from the door, and we slightly stumble our way to the bedroom that we once used to share. We didn't part from the kiss. Colby, falling onto the bed, causing me to fall on top of him. His fingers playing with the hem on the soft, warm jacket.

I pull away, sliding off the jacket, making little eye contact with Colby. His hand touched my cheek, then slid down my neck, to my breast, to my stomach. My eyes shifted to his, and I watched him look at me in awe.

"Do you want to do this?" He asked me, his voice raspy. His eyes looked into mine. He looked like he actually cared.

I slightly smile. It had just came to me that I was still a virgin. Colby and I had never gone this far before. "I wouldn't want to do it with anybody else." I whisper. Colby smirks, before reaching to the side dresser and pulling out a small foil package.

I sure didn't know what I was getting myself into..
