Years after that talk, Colby and I lived a dream. We traveled together, made videos together, lived together.
After moving into Trap House 2.0, we made the best memories. I was finally happy again. I was surrounded by all my friends and the person I love.
Finally, after all the traumatizing events that happened in 2020, Colby and I were away in Hawaii. It was our last night here, and we were on the beach, just walking down the shore line.
"Valarie," He finally spoke, grabbing my hand, causing me to stop and look at him. "So, you're the love of my life." He stuttered.
He really sounded nervous. "You're the love of my life too, Cole."
He sighed, gathering himself before continuing. "Everyday of my life with you has been amazing, and I honestly cannot live without you. Even the days where I'm busy and in meetings I miss you like hell. See the thing is, I want to spend the rest of my life with you..." He says, kneeling down on one knee, digging in his pocket.
"Colby..." I say, tears building up in my eyes.
"I love you Val. You're beautiful, you're perfect, you're mine.... and I need you in life." He said, opening the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. "Will you marry me?"
My jaw dropped, tears streaming down my eyes. "Colby, I love you." I whispered, grabbing his hand. "Yes. Of course I will."
Colby stood up, tears running down his face. He slipped the ring on my finger, then pulled me in and kissed me.
Even though I knew it since the day I met him. Colby Brock was mine forever. I was going to promise to be his too.
That night when he said that one metaphor, it turned into my life motto. Colby Brock was addictive.
