It was days later. It was odd. The days went by so fast yet they felt so slow. Colby was leaving for Hawaii today. Marie invited me to a party tonight so I wouldn't feel alone. I hadn't seen her in a while.
Elton had his big plan set up. He was taking Colbys car and destroying it.
Maybe I was a little sentimental about it. Colby and I made memories in that corolla. It sounded kind of weird, but it was true.
I think I'm going insane.
It wasn't hard for me to get ahold of Colbys keys though. I guess living with your ex-boyfriend whom you deeply love, and you're sure he loves you just as much back—well, I guess I can still be trusted with him beloved belongings.
*2 days ago*
"Hey uh, Colby?" I asked. His head snapped up and me.
"Yeah? Is everything okay?" He asks with worry. My question is why did he worry so much?
"Yeah, everything fine Colbs. I just was wondering if I. If uh, I could borrow your car while you're in Hawaii? Mines going into the shop, it's the bearings again." I say.
He lets out a smile. It wasn't genuine. He wasn't happy.
"Of course you can, V. You can anytime."
*present*
"Bye Colby," I say, giving him a side hug. It just wasn't the same! "See you later? I'll take good care of your car. Thanks again."
"No problem. See you soon." He says. "Have fun at that party. Don't drive home if you've been drinking."
I nod. "I won't. Promise." I said, interlocking pinky's with him. I guess that was our thing.
"Val I'll walk down with you! Kat is here to give me that shirt I left." Sam says, obviously lying but Colby didn't know.
"So you got them?" Elton asks, as I walk out of the apartment building with Sam.
"Sure did!" Sam says. I throw Elton the keys to Colby's beloved corolla.
"Let's film this intro then get her out of here!" Elton says, setting up him camera.
We filmed the intro and the next thing I know, I'm at a party with Marie. Brennen was on vacation, so we are having a girls night.
"I'll be right back!" Marie says. Of course she'd leave me right away. I just nod her off. I wonder if Colby is doing okay.
Next thing I know, I get bumped into. "What the.." I say, finding my balance.
"I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention, I was trying to prank Jeff with my flame thrower."
