The whole day had passed in sight seeing, laughing and holding each other's hand. Shanaya was glad that she had decided to come rather than sleeping. She had enjoyed the complete trip and wanted to purchase some souvenirs as well. But couldn't, since she had to go back to her hostel and she didn't want to keep something that would raise questions from her roommates. Also she didn't want to think anything about the reality as of now. It was only night that they had for themselves. After that, she had to face the world again and once again she would be alone in fighting them.  This night was her last chance at oblivion and happiness before she went back to cruel world which she desperately wanted to avoid.

As they started to return to hotel, Shanaya started getting nervous and anxious. She wanted to cry limitless, hold Rudra in her arms and never let him go. She didn't want to go back, not just yet. She wasn't ready but she knew she couldn't voice her inner turmoil. Instead she tried to focus on tonight. She had prepared herself mentally that she would give herself to him completely. She would try to bear whatever pain she would have to face. But she was unsure if Rudra would take her. What if she tried like yesterday and didn't succeed. She was quite embarrassed for her act.

She tried to relax under his touch but she felt like hyperventilating. So just like previous times, she shut her eyes and started breathing in and out. She realized that sooner or later she would have to go back to her hostel and college and face everything again. Therefore there was no point in dilly dallying it. As for Rudra, she was happy that he came to meet her when she needed it especially when she hadn't anticipated it. She should be grateful rather than being a greedy one.

Rudra sat silently next to her. He was feeling that she was not there mentally and was deep in thought. Though he felt most of the times her worries and thoughts were useless and baseless, he didn't say anything, just held her hand gently and rubbed it to show his support, an action that might have gone unnoticed. But then he found her looking right at him and giving him that special smile of hers that was reserved just for him, one that still flutters his heart to no extent.

It was their last night together and Rudra knew it. After this, they won't have time to spend like this. It wasn't like he was leaving immediately but he won't be able to give her enough time.

They didn't realize when they reached hotel and to their room. Shanaya went to change while Rudra decided to order food. They both collected their belongings which were arranged in hotel wardrobe. Their dinner was in silence. After that they just lied down in each other's arms, hugging each other. Shanaya was playing with his hair while he had his hand on her waist.  All of a sudden Shanaya realized something and asked him..

"What exactly have you told your mom about you coming here?"

"And I thought you would never ask.."

She hit him hard in his hand. Rudra just smiled.

"I told my mom that I had to collect my certificates from the college."

"She believed you just like that?"

"No. She asked me if it couldn't be posted but I told her that my signature as well as my presence was needed."

Hmm.. Very convincing for the person who had least idea about the process.

"And in office?"

"My boss is very ambitious. I informed him about my contacts and potential clients over here and he agreed."

"That means you are on work according to him?"

Rudra smirked and nodded.

OMG!!  He was really good at this. He was on a vacation with her and that too without applying any single day of leave from work.

Will you ever be able to figure out if he lies to you?  Or if he ever cheats on you?

No no no... She shut the thought there itself. He loved her!  He won't do any such things to hurt her.

But what if...

She shook her head and got closer to him, hiding her face in his chest.

He, not sensing her insecurities, just hugged her tightly.

"What happened?" he asked her finally.

"Nothing." She couldn't share her insecurities with him. It would spoil the moment for both of them and she didn't want it. He was not here for always. So she just wanted to enjoy her limited time with him.

And what if he were to stay here?

Well, in that case, she could have surely argued or at least expressed her insecurities in a joking way which he wouldn't have liked anyway.

"What is it? Why are you so silent? What is bothering you sweetheart?" Rudra was concerned now.

It wasn't everyday that he called her sweetheart. It was her fascination.

She hugged him tightly and a small tear escaped her which she skillfully hid in his chest.

"I don't want to go back." And at that time she realized how true those words were. That place was suffocating her and she didn't want to return there.

He hugged her tightly and sighed,
"What makes you think that I want you to go? You have no idea what I am thinking but at the end, none of it will be useful. Would you like to know what I am thinking?"

She nodded in his chest, her eyes closed and her mind getting peaceful once again, just like always..

"I want to take you to a place where no-one could find us, where there would be no worries for you, where you will be happy and always smiling that beautiful smile of yours. A place where not a single sorrow or worry could reach you and then I will love you endlessly."

She smiled. "I am already at that place."

He hugged her more tightly if that was possible at the same confession of hers, his heart clenching and crying for her suffering in his absence. But he knew how to make her forget that even for sometime..

"I will make you crazy for me and take you so hardly and frequently that you will forget everything else."

She blushed profusely and hid her face more, recalling last night. Thank God that he had not said anything about it.

"I forgot to ask, what would have you done next last night?"

There..

What an idiot!!

Who asks that kind of question to a girl?

And how was she going to answer that?

She was still thinking of an escape when her phone started ringing and she practically jumped out of his arms and bed.

"My Dad!!"

"He is just calling you on the phone and you are behaving as if he himself is coming here."

"Still"

"Now will you pick that call please and try as normal as possible."

"Please keep quiet." And she inhaled deeply and exhaled, closing her eyes she picked the call.

"Yes Dad"

"Is only your Dad making you calls dear or have you forgotten me completely?" Shanaya heard her mother on the other end and she relaxed a bit.

She didn't like lying to anyone but she couldn't say it out loud. She had already seen an episode of that.

"It's not like that Mumma and you know that. How are you doing?"

"All good dear. So what is this, I hear that you are at a friend of yours? Who are they and what are they doing?"

Good God!! What was she going to say?

Why moms are always so inquisitive?

And what if she realized that Shanaya was lying....
