One Week Later
It had been a week of anxiously waiting by Dahye's bedside for her to regain full consciousness.
I was pretty exhausted, but I got enough sleep everyday. I just tried to be by her side as much as possible.
It was just like every other day. I was watching over her. Her family was out because Doyum was really distressed about her. So they tried getting him out of the house to take his mind off her.
Suddenly, I heard the covers ruffle.
She took a deep breath, and started stretching in her bed. She didn't open her eyes, but it seemed like she was finally conscious.
Her eyes fluttered open, revealing the sparkling brown orbs that had been hid for a week. She blinked a few times, squinting at the light. It was mesmerizing to watch her wake up. I know it sounds creepy, but she was so beautiful. Compared to how she was when I found her, she was stunning.
"I'm so glad you're awake! I mean I was so worried and I didn't know what to think. I brought you home right away, waiting for you to wake up. You were asleep for a while. I mean not asleep. But you know. And Doyum has been so panicky. And we're so stressed. But it's all okay because you're awake now. And—"
I was cut off by a tender feeling on my lips. It was warm and sweet.
My eyes widened when I realized that Dahye was kissing me.
I responded immediately, our lips melding together harmoniously. Her hands found their way around my neck, trying to bring me closer. I crawled into the bed, hovering over her. Our bodies pressed close to each other, warmth radiating from each other. My hands cupped her face as I moved in closer to deepen the kiss. She unconsciously wrapped her legs around my waist, and just hung off of me like a koala while kissing me.
It was funny how someone as tough and upfront as her, was willing to let herself melt into my embrace and submit herself.
After what felt like forever we both pulled away. She looked ethereal as she caught her breath.
"Sorry. Was that too forward?" She asked softly.
I let my hand lightly caress her face, "Not at all. I loved it."
She gave a halfhearted smile.
There was an awkward silence and tension in the air. I mean what do you say.
"So, how are you feeling?" I finally asked.
She shrugged, "I'm not too sure. I don't know what I'm supposed to feel."
She stretched in bed a bit more, sitting up straight and staring at the wall blankly.
It was tense. She looked on edge.
Her lips were pressed into a thin line as the silence continued.
"Oh! You must be starving! I'll go make you something!" I exclaimed, not sure of anything else to say.
She smiled politely, "I'll go in for a shower and join in a bit."
Dahye POV
Yoongi went to go make me food, while I headed to the bathroom.
I locked the door behind me, staring blankly into the mirror. I looked like absolute trash. There were scars and bruises everywhere. I looked pale and the bags under my eyes were unflattering.
I ran my hands through my hair, "Maybe a shower will relax me."
The water from the shower massaged the sore bones all over my body. The steam was calming and relaxing. But my stress and worry was still very much there.
