⭐️ Yunobo x Reader: Sweet

Note: You are a scientist traveling with Zelda and Link to help them fix the divine beasts after defeating Calamity Ganon. Champions are also alive after the war with Ganon.

"Why must it be so hot," you said. Goron City has to be the hottest place in all of Hyrule. You had no idea what could possibly be hotter than this place.

"Oh cheer up Y/N, we won't be here for too long. Besides, I thought you like hot weather?" asked Zelda.

"I like hot weather but not to the point where I have to wear flame proof armor to keep me from catching on fire."

Link giggled at this and looked away when you glared at him. You all made your way to the chief Goron's home. He greeted you all so eagerly and gave a tour of the small city. Eventually you were given rooms at the inn.

...

The next day you decided to walk around and greet gorons. Their race was the one that interested you the most. You loved studying their culture and ways of living. Eventually you came across a shy goron named Yunobo. He was very quiet and nice to you.

"So Y-Y/N, how long are you going to be here for?" he asked.

"I don't know, it's usually when the Princess leaves, that's when I leave too."

"Oh, well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me today," he replied.

"Sure, I'd love to," you said.

You told him to wait there while you told Zelda about your plans for the day. Fortunately she did not need much help because Daruk did not have many issues with the Divine Beast.

After that you took off with Yunobo. He showed you many sights and treated you to delicious food. The day was amazing. He took you back to the inn and gave you a tender hug.

...

The next day Yunobo was no where to be found. You heard from the other gorons that he was last seen going up the trail to the top of Death Mountain. This worried you a bit, so you decided to go find him.

The trail was messy with rocks here and there. But you continued forward anyway. It wasn't until the near top of the summit when the rumbling started. You fell down due to all the shaking. Once it stopped you got back up, only to here a loud sound. You turned to the left and saw a rock coming down the mountain side right towards you. You managed to move out of the way quickly. But you looked up again and saw another one coming to you. Closing your eyes, you held your arms above your head to shield yourself when suddenly you felt someone grab you and moved you away. You got a short glimpse and saw Yunobo pushing you away.

"YUNOBO!" You screamed.

He was hit by the boulder and dust flew everywhere. Your vision became foggy and you could not see if he survived or not. You ran over to the pile of rocks and frantically searched for him. Eventually you started crying, not knowing if he lived or not.

He was so sweet to you.

After a little bit you gave up. Heartbroken you began to head back down the trail. Suddenly you felt the ground shake. But this time, there were no boulders coming down. No, this time the rumbling was coming from behind you. You turned around and saw Yunobo shot up with his barrier surrounding him. He had a huge grin on his face.

After lowering the barrier he turned to you.

"Y/N? Are y-" he was cut off by you running into him and hugging him.

He was shocked by your reaction and returned the hug. You were overwhelmed by your feelings and could not stop crying. He felt you shaking and squeezed you. You looked up at him and smiled, relief washed over you as you looked into his kind eyes. He smiled back and released you. You stepped on your left foot, felt a shot of pain. You winced and didn't realize that it was hurting. You assumed with all the action, you didn't notice the pain. Yunobo saw this and picked you up bridal style and brought you back to the inn.

...

Some time later, your foot was treated and you were resting it on the couch. Yunobo came by to check up on you.

"Hey Y/N, sorry I gave you a scare back there," he said.

"Oh, you're fine. I was frightened but I'm glad you're ok."

He smiled at this and came over to the couch and sat next to you.

"Y/N, when I saw you standing there I couldn't help but save you, even if it costed my own life. I care about you a lot and I... I-I like y-you a lot t-too," he said stuttering.

You felt your face heat up by this and gave him a peck on the cheek. He blushed and held you close to him. You spent the rest of the night in his arms.
