It was another beautiful day in Hyrule. I was laying down in a field of (f/c) flowers, cloud gazing. The wind was gentle today and stirred my hair a bit, like an older sibling ruffling the hair of a younger one. Today was a day of tranquility which has not been seen in over a hundred years.

Ah yes, the day of the Calamity...

I remember that day as well as any other day...

The day I was separated from my lover, forever...

*flashback*

"Revali! Please let me help!" I shouted at my bird boyfriend.

"Y/N, it is far too dangerous! I cannot allow you to-"

"Nonsense! I am a trained warrior! Capable of helping you!"

"No I refuse! I care about you too much to allow harm to come your way," He shouted back.

Our argument was cut short due to a hoard of guardians now surrounding us. At once Revali drew his bow and began firing bomb arrows at the possessed guardians. I drew my dual swords, curtsy of the Princess, and began slashing away. The once docile guardians fell beneath my swings. After slicing and dicing a few, I stood for a moment, admiring my work. But it was not for long, I then heard scampering behind me, and turned to see one charging towards me. Suddenly an arrow was fired at it's only eye and it fell, lifeless. I looked at Revali and nodded, he returned the nod. There was a loud boom after. We looked in the direction of the Rito village to see Vah Medoh firing lasers down on different areas near the village, starting multiple fires. I heard Revali curse and begin to summon a draft. Without hesitation, I quickly climbed onto his back. Once he made sure I was secure, he took to the skies. As we drew near Medoh, I grabbed Revali's bow and fired three bomb arrows at it. The mechanical bird gave out a cry of agony as I disabled it's cannons.

"Hey! Watch what you're doing! Don't mess her up too badly now!" Revali shrieked.

"Hmph, well if you care for her much more than me, I guess I'll leave," I replied.

"Kidding. Take her out dear."

"With pleasure," I said with a mischievous smile.

I aimed at one of the engines and released, a perfect bull's eye. Medoh let out a piercing cry and began to descend. It crashed into the snowy tundra of the Hebra mountains. As we made our descent, I quickly inhaled a cold-resistance potion, also curtsy of my bird boyfriend. Revali quickly landed and we rushed into Medoh.

Upon entry, there was a mess, however this mess was different. There was this black, goo-like substance everywhere, that also emitted a red glow. I grabbed an arrow from Revali's quiver and poked at the substance, it began dissolving at once.

"Huh, weird," I said.

"Gross," said Revali.

We continued making our way through the large mechanical bird. While making our way to the control room, I had a small sensation that we were being watched. I looked over my shoulder to find a large yellow eye staring right at me. Suddenly, one of the internal cannons began to charge up. I quickly pounced on Revali and pushed us to the ground. The shot thankfully missed. Revali shifted me behind him and fired an arrow at both the cannon and the eye.

"Close one... Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yep, a-ok."

He stood up and held his feathered hand out for me to grab. I took hold and he hoisted me off the ground. I thanked him and began walking towards the control room when I felt a tug on my hand. I turned and Revali embraced me.

"I... am not sure what will happen in that room... but know that I love you and I always will," he said.

I returned the embrace and held him tightly. "I love you too, and I always will as well."

We pulled away a little, and I brought him into a kiss. (Don't ask me how it works lol) He returned the kiss and held me tightly in his strong arms. Unfortunately, there was rumbling that interrupted us. It brought us back to reality and we continued our way to the control room. Once we flew up the shaft, we were greeted by the monstrosity that caused it all.

I cannot recall the exact details of everything that happened, but next thing I knew, I was standing over my lover who laid dead before me. I remember sobbing uncontrollably that day and mourned my lost everyday after.

Zelda had sent a messenger to alert me of what she was doing with Link and the shrine of Resurrection. There was an additional bed and she asked me to slumber with him so that he had an ally for when he would awaken. I took up the task in aiding the Princess and Link.

*end flashback*

But today is a new day, a day where I finally felt hope for the future, even if I am without my beloved.

I sat up and studied the distant forest in front of me. The trees swayed in a peaceful manner, hypnotizing almost. The gentle wind made me think of Revali and his ability to control the wind. I wondered if he was controlling it now, perhaps this was his way of telling me he was fine? I can only wonder and hope.

I stood up from my spot and began making my way back to the castle when I had the sudden urge to turn around. I do get this feeling often, but there was something very peculiar about it this time. I turned and saw a sight I thought I would never see again.

There stood my beloved, Revali.

My eyes widen at the sight of him and felt tears pricking at my eyes. I walked up to him and reached for his cheek. Once I felt the soft feathers, I reached my other hand for the other cheek. I felt tears stream down my face.

"Is... is it really you? Am I dreaming?"

"Yes dear, it really is me. No you are not dreaming," He said with a smile.

I tackled him to the ground and held him tightly. He returned my sudden embrace. I then sat up with a questioning look.

"What is with that look?" He asked sitting up as well, with me now on his lap.

"Just how exactly are you alive???"

"Oh, Purah created some device that brought us champions back from the dead. Our souls were already with Link so she just had to recreate our bodies from our bones," he quickly explained.

"Surprisingly, that makes sense, but what about the King?"

"Unfortunately, his soul left before we noticed. I guess he wanted to rest in peace and give Zelda her turn to rule."

"Hmmm, interesting..."

Revali grew quiet and then stared into my eyes. Those damn green eyes...always so captivating. We leaned in for a passionate kiss. Feeling him here and now with me was everything that I could have ever asked for. I truly felt at peace.

*Bonus*

"WOO HOO! GET IT REVALI!"shouted Daruk.

Urbosa and Mipha just giggled while Link face palmed at Daruk for giving away their location. Zelda just smiled.

"SHUT UP YOU DAMN IDIOT!" Revali yelled back.

I giggled at his reaction and then waved to the rest of the group. It was nice seeing the gang all back together.
