Huntress sighed as she dipped her paw into a pool of water and felt the liquid soak into her pad. HeavenPack, what do I do? She looked at her three pups that were in a secret place of the healer wolf den. They shall never meet Thunderblood and know him as their father. Should I lie to Swift? I feel horrible for doing this, but Thunderblood is evil and I mistakenly fell in love with him. She blindly felt around for her moss that she needed to soak on Glacier's paw wound.
"Huntress!" her trainee woofed.
"Oh! Yes Lightglow?" Through her eyes, since she was blind, she could only see shadows in her black vision and she faced Lightglow through sniffing which direction she was coming from.
"Is the moss ready for Glacier? He also needs pumpkin seeds to calm the stinging of the wound!"
"Yes, it's ready, and the pumpkin seeds are in that leaf wrap over there." Huntress pointed with her tail to the scent.
"Thank you!" Lightglow grabbed the leaf wrap in her jaws and hooked her claws onto the moss. Huntress was glad her trainee was so energetic and motivated to work as a healer wolf and learn.

Huntress heard a rustle and turned around, twitching her ears and sniffing the air.
"Hello Huntress, how is training with Lightglow?" She heard the sound of Swift's voice and smelled his scent, and got anxious.
"It's good.." Huntress nodded and turned away.
"Hey, why are you anxious? I can sense it."
"I don't know, maybe because I'm blind?" she nervously laughed.
"That's not the true reason Huntress, you can tell me anything, I'm your mate." Swift's ears perked up as he heard a quiet whimper inside the healer wolf den.
"Um.." Huntress's voice trailed off.
"What was that?" Swift's eyes narrowed.
"I don't know, maybe it was just wind blowing around a stick." Huntress hoped her excuse worked, and she got even more panicky when Swift didn't respond. "Swift?"

Swift sniffed around the den and twitched his ears, looking around. "It isn't windy today Huntress." He grabbed the scruffs of her three pups and set them down in front of his front paws.
"I-"
"Whose pups are these?" Swift was shocked when he asked the question. I shouldn't lie, I can't make that mistake.
"They're mine." Huntress blurted out with anxiety weighing like a stone on her.
"What?!" Swift's eyes widened. "Who is the father?"
"You aren't." Huntress barked, and flinched as she sensed Swift's anxiety and sadness mix together. "Thunderblood is."
"Thunderblood?! You mean when you both were mates?!"
"Yeah." Huntress admitted. "I really regret it, he admitted he doesn't want to or wouldn't care for them like a loving father, so.."
"So what?" Swift gasped.
"I want you to be their father, I want them to grow up thinking that you're the father of them. You may not be blood related to them and their related father may be evil, that's why I don't want them to know Thunderblood is related to them, please Swift.. I'm so sorry." Huntress whimpered.
"I'll be their father." Swift committed. "I'll love them."
"And we can't tell FrostPack or any other packs." Huntress whispered.
"I won't, I promise."
