Bullet and her packmates came back with mouthfuls of hunted prey. Goldenglow was sheltering in a ditch with an arching rock above with lichen hanging over his golden pelt.
"My wolf tails!" Goldenglow poked his eyes and muzzle out from the lichen, "that's enough to keep us going for days!"
"We tried hard, all of us." Arrow panted, setting the prey down with his peers.
"Well, we have to keep going and be smart with the prey. The travel plants are still lasting, let's be cautious even with this much." the golden he-wolf acknowledged. The five wolves walked together, still feeling the anxiety rush through them at the thoughts of their packmates fighting DarkPack without them. The snowy mountain tips of the mountain range was starting to come into view. Bullet felt now excitement rush through her. The thought of the phoenix he-wolf she met when fighting the hunting dogs gave her joy. She couldn't wait to see Fire again. Then she thought to herself, why am I so excited? I don't have a crush on him or anything... she felt the ground beneath her pads grow stonier and firmer like a more mountainous terrain.
"We're getting closer to the mountains!" Storm woofed, feeling achieved for making it to a checkpoint in Goldenglow's journey. Bullet snapped out of the daydreams of seeing Fire, and looked at her small group of packmates. Goldenglow was leading, it was almost like there was no storm right now. She felt brave that she could save the Mystical Wolves civilization from sickness. But how? Silverwing was leaning her wet silver head against Storm's broad shoulder during the storm and still trekking to the mountains. Arrow's gray eyes were filled with obvious jealousy, he lashed his tail and looked forward at the lightning that continuously targeted the mountains ahead.

Back in SkullPack, wolves were falling, wounded to the ground. That didn't stop them though, Dark Lord and Raven were battling, he wanted Raven to die because Swift was the successor of FrostPack.

"You..." Dark Lord's tongue lapped over his mouth.

"You're not taking any of my packmates or murdering them!" Raven slammed the massive black he-wolf to the terrain.

Blackfrost's ears perked and he noticed his mother and Dark Lord still verbally battling. He wouldn't let his mother do this alone, he ran over, and shot ice crystals from his tail. Dark Lord howled from surprise and turned tail, scoring his spikes from his arms into the young he-wolf.

Blackfrost held back the urge to yelp.

"One of your weaklings is easy enough to slaughter, way below my experience levels." Dark Lord snickered. Almost all of the DarkPack wolves fled because they had lost their battles, FirePack and the rest of SkullPack were taking care of defeating the remaining underworld wolves. Dark Lord was at the top of the hierarchy, and his experience level in battle was high enough to dispatch about a hundred wolves by himself.

"We have to do this." Blackfrost woofed. Raven looked surprised that her introverted son who barely spoke, had spoken first and loudly. "Don't let the shock of me talking get to you, you have to put all the power you can into this final battle." he commanded.

Raven nodded and crouched into an attack aim, her tail curled and uncurled and Blackfrost followed with her. Dark Lord bared his teeth into a snarl, and the three wolves launched into battle after the sound of a growl in unison.

Blackfrost cornered Dark Lord with glaciers surrounding him, Raven flew up with raven wings unfolding from her back, she flew into Dark Lord and pinned him down. Blackfrost precipitated extremely cold ice from a shadow black cloud above him, directed into Dark Lord's blood red eyes. Raven inserted holes into the black evil wolf, blood pouring out at high acceleration. Devil horns came out of her forehead, she butted Dark Lord and slit open his neck.

Dark Lord wasn't defeated, he was taking these attacks like a wolf took a stab in the paw pad from a jutted stone. He threw Raven off from on top of him, the she-wolf luckily landed square on all four paws. He aimed his next attack towards Blackfrost, his red eyes shot poison by lasers into the black and white he-wolf's skin through his pelt. Blackfrost gazed around woozily, and his heart began to pound slowly and felt as if it was sinking to underneath his paws, and dropped to the tussock grass, staining the green to red with blood matted from his fur.

"No!" Raven snarled.

She was speeding up, launching her paws from crawling, to beat Dark Lord, at this point, the two allied packs had noticed Blackfrost on the ground, the remaining wolves from the underworld had been defeated and sent up back to DarkPack. Even Thunderblood and Bloodpetal, as well as Duke.

They all launched themselves at Dark Lord, biting into him and using their powers. Raven was fighting with her life for her son, fur fell to ashes under all the wolves' grips, Dark Lord had surrendered and floated back up to DarkPack. The wolves howled for their battle victory, but then turned around concerned and irate for the fact that Blackfrost was unable to make movement in the tussock grass. His eyes were shut tight. They sat in a circle around him... rain pattered, washing the blood off from their pelts and the grass.

Goldenglow's travel group had made it to the mountains, they were about to enter a cave for rest when they heard pawsteps.

The scent was oddly familiar, especially to Bullet.

Fire! Bullet waited in excitement, her tail thumping at the rocks.

The phoenix wolf walked carefully out from his den, majestically.

"Who's this?" Arrow asked his sister, as he saw her eyes light up with admiration and ecstasy.

"This is Fire, he helped us in the battle with the hunting dogs." she answered.

"Sweet." Arrow gave a bow with his head to signal respect to the fiery he-wolf. Fire nodded back in wholesomeness, he looked delighted to the fact that him and Bullet were reunited.

Does she like him as a mate? Storm scanned the two wolves carefully.

"What are you wolves here for?" Fire suddenly questioned.

"We're journeying up to a place I got told of in one of my dream prophecies and visions, may we please stay here for now?" Goldenglow reasoned.

Fire nodded, glancing at Bullet the longest out of the group, and turned tail and let them in from under the lichen.
