Arrow stepped out of the trainees' den with a big yawn. The soft warming-season breeze ruffled his pelt and he padded across the clearing to the prey-pile. His adoptive brother Luke was delightfully eating a piglet, and Arrow pounced and the two he-wolves playfully rolled over together through the growing tussock grass.
"Are you ready for another day of training?"
"Definitely!" Arrow puffed out his muscular chest and Luke laughed.
"Well then, eat first."
"Okay." Arrow dug into a calf and licked his muzzle after, Luke opened his mouth to say something, but Arrow caught the sight of a silver pelt. He was glancing at the silver she-pup, Silverwing. Her beautiful silver pelt and charming green eyes made his heart race, and it was going in first place. She would soon begin her training.
"And then we'll go to the nearest sycamore and practice-" Luke broke off and narrowed his eyes. "Arrow? You should be listening. Like a good trainee."
"I'm sorry Luke!" Arrow whimpered. Luke followed his gaze, and his eyes rested on Silverwing.
"She caught your attention, huh?" Luke's tone was slightly teasing but there were hints of distraught.
"Uh, no!" Arrow quickly denied. "That's disgusting, and her bloodline is from DarkPack. Why would I-"
"She's not like them though, and you don't have to lie." The muscular brown and gray he-wolf looked down at his trainee.
"I don't!" Arrow snapped, more aggressively than planned, but the sight of his mother's cousin Frostcrow's son, Storm, talking to Silverwing like he liked her made a monster in his chest roar of disapproval.
"Come on then, time for training, not she-wolves." Luke padded ahead to the exit of SkullPack's den-arena.
"Yeah, coming.." Arrow took one last glance at Silverwing and Storm and realized how close they were. Friends or mates? He growled quietly at the thought."So you focus on your future location and have determination and deliberation, then you teleport." Luke grumpily explained for the last time. "Are you even paying attention?"
"Yes.." Arrow's voice trailed off as he daydreamed more about the beautiful she-wolf, remembering her sweet scent.
"That's a fat lie!" Luke snarled sternly. "Do you want to become a legend wolf of SkullPack? Then you must pay attention to your mentor and put in effort!"
"Gosh, for wolf tails sake! I'm sorry Luke!"
"Stop apologizing and actually do it, otherwise, what is the point?"
Arrow realized his mentor was right and his head hung low, flattening his ears guiltily.
"Come on now, Arrow." Luke padded ahead with flattened fur to show that he had calmed down, Arrow eventually teleported onto the nearest sycamore and gave a big leap onto a wild hog, killing it in swift bites.
"That's it!" Luke happily barked. "You finally got it, but you have to keep practicing!" Arrow lifted his head high proudly, with a pant, imagining if Silverwing were watching him.Goldenglow was shaking, like a cold icy moving bloody river had washed over him. He curled his tail in between his legs submissively to the black wolf in front of him, massive, bigger in muscle than Blackstorm, his father.
"What do you want?" Goldenglow finally growled.
"How kind of you to show submission to me." The black wolf's blood red eyes were eyeing Goldenglow's curled tail.
"I don't want to be killed." Goldenglow snarled, digging his claws into the soft lava stone.
"Well I'll have to take this for myself, then." Dark Lord, was the black massive wolf with blood red eyes Goldenglow had encountered. He presented a vision of himself pulling a white she-wolf with blue eyes into his claws, and slashing open her throat, the vision gave Goldenglow the saddening reminder of Graylight, the wolf who was killed the same way by his own son, Thunderblood. The she-wolf looked familiar, and then the thought rang in the golden he-wolf's mind.. Katie!
"If you have the audacity to do that to my sister I'll-" Goldenglow was interrupted by Dark Lord.
"What can you do? You're a submissive healer wolf, while I'm Master Dark Lord of DarkPack!" The huge black he-wolf gave a raspy evil laugh. His blood red eyes made Goldenglow slightly flinch.
"Twinkle took Thunderblood and your daughter's pups from your embrace so you couldn't manipulate them into being evil or torturing them!" The golden he-wolf turned to Maggotface, the guard of newborn pups, who was now hanging in a lava chain, surrounded by other wolves of DarkPack biting into her deeply and inserting poison.
"That's exactly why I am going to murder all of SkullPack, actually, dispatch all of mystical legend wolves civilization! Why not kill Katie first? She has lost all of her power anyway."
"Temporarily! You're sickening." Goldenglow got into an attack aim crouch. Before he could do anything, Hollypelt, his grandmother, leapt out in front of him, slashing her claws angrily at Dark Lord and throwing fireballs at him.
"Hollypelt!" Goldenglow gasped and he tried holding back the starry black she-wolf. She wouldn't budge, and Dark Lord fell to the lava stone floor, gasping for air as Hollypelt's paw blocked his windpipe. He faded into ashes, getting checked by his healer wolf, Hollypelt, as Goldenglow noticed, had a deep neck wound, she fell to the lava stone and closed her starry eyes.
"Hollypelt?!" Goldenglow raced over to his grandmother, he knew HeavenPack wolves could get killed even while being ghosts.
"Crystal valley." Hollypelt murmured.
"What?!"
"Crystal valley, you must go!" Hollypelt pointed weakly with her tail to a vision behind him, Goldenglow looked behind, a crystal, beautiful, valley was sparkling in the vision, and it zoomed out down a path outside of the forest and in the mountains of SkullPack territory. Goldenglow looked behind.
Hollypelt had died, her green eyes were dull and blood was still spilling out of her slitted neck, and her stomach fur was matted with lots of wet blood, turning brown. Goldenglow started crying, and remembered that these were his dreams, but dreams were sometimes visions as well, and he closed his eyes, flickering away the tears..
