Luke skidded into the SkullPack den-arena with the horror still written on his face. He panted breathlessly, as his packmates approached him.
"Woah Luke, take it easy. What happened?!" Raven asked.
"He smells funny." Winston commented.
"Are you okay?!" Twinkle freaked out.
"Whoever is intruding, tell us now." Fenix growled.
"That's odd, Luke usually hates to show fear to an extent." Frostcrow glared at him.
"I can even smell the fear!" Featherbreeze woofed.
"One at a time!" Snowy raised his voice and the chorus of wolves' voices faded away as smooth as a soft breeze.
"Thank you." Raven dipped her head to her mate. "Luke, please explain." The alpha female waved her tail politely.
"I was hunting- right? So, when I was coming back, I saw Russetleap. A new FirePack pup, one of Cameron's and Foxfur's." Twinkle's gaze turned to surprise and sadness with a tinge of jealousy. "There was a dead squirrel he was playing with, it had a foul smell coming from it. I had seen something like it, a bird had fallen from one of the oak trees by the FrostFire river, foam forming around its beak with rotting wings." His packmates stared in disgust and anxiety. "Russetleap collapsed, foam started forming around his muzzle, his eyes rolled back into his head and he murmured 'DarkPack'. I didn't hear anymore and ran back to report to Raven and Snowy- or possibly Frostcrow if the alphas' were absent or occupied." Silence swarmed the den-arena. Luke felt awkward and uncomfortable. Did they believe him? He hoped so, considering their gazes were filled with anxiety and disgust, as well as concern for the young he-wolf.

"That's so funny!" Winston, the former hunting dog, broke out into a laugh. "Really?! 'DarkPack causes pup to be possessed by touching squirrel' I mean really, think about how SkullPack would look after the four other packs found out about your nonsense of a story? You could tell that when you're an elder or a father to scare the dung out of pups!" The tan he-dog rolled onto his back, panting.
"Shut up!" Twinkle growled. "You were a hunting dog that we accepted as a guest into here for a while. What do you know about DarkPack? Huh?!"
"He doesn't know anything." a deep voice sounded. Luke and his packmates gasped, cluelessly.
"Who else is here?" Katie whimpered.
"Me." A blue he-wolf with a black spiked collar lashed his tail.
"Thunderblood.." Raven snarled. Her eyes had turned red, as well as Fenix's. Duke, the former alpha male of FrostPack, stepped beside him.
"Swift wasn't supposed to be my successor!" he yelled to the SkullPack wolves. "All of you ruined it! Especially- you.." The white he-wolf pushed his way through the crowd and came eye-to-eye with Raven. His brown eyes were filled with pure hatred and his breath was rancid as it puffed on the black she-wolf's shoulder, making the fur ripple.
"I didn't ruin anything, I'm not a filthy traitor." Raven's red eyes turned into a darker blood red.
"Why did you kill me then? I was going to kill Huntress if she didn't accept to being my mate, but Swift won. He won everything! He won my now non future alpha male rank of FrostPack! He ruined my chances of conquering the Legend Wolves! It's because of you! You gave your nephew everything, you crap-hole!" Thunderblood's whole body was glistening with dark blue flames.
"Your father made a mistake." Duke woofed. "Blackstorm is a fool, he couldn't even defend his own pups and other kin from FrostPack all those moons ago. He even stole my precious mate, a dirtwolf herself now as well, mating with him and having you and your kin as a result."
"You don't say that to my mother or father.." Raven growled deeply. "They loved each other and didn't nearly create accidents like you and Violet almost did! Violet is supposed to be with Blackstorm, sorry Duke."
"I created one with Stormleaf." Duke laughed at this, and he glared at Snowy. Snowy's eyes filled with some emotion but he regained himself and snarled. Thunderblood snickered.
"Not to me!" Raven yelled, resting her tail on her mate's back.
"Your father chose me as his adoptive son. Face it, Snowy, you're weak and a waste of space. You're not like us." Thunderblood's evil laugh rang across the clearing and in the wolves' ears. Luke looked around anxiously. They caused the possessing sickness to contaminate everything from prey to starve us and other wolves themselves, after all these times we've beaten them in battles and done the right things which are bad in their cases. Is this why- Goldenglow.. no- did he?
At this, Snowy and Raven had crouched in an aim to prepare for attack. Their tails curled and uncurled to let their packmates know to do the same. Luke followed the command. Thunderblood curled his tail viciously, and howled to the sky, which clouds surrounded the path of his voice, and turned black and stormy. Rain pattered against the grassy terrain as more DarkPack ghosts crowded around Thunderblood and Duke. Lightning lit up the sky a shade of purple and white. SkullPack and DarkPack wolves faced off with a snarl, at the sound of thunder, DarkPack ghosts launched themselves. Luke groaned as he got thrown to the ground by a big black wolf from DarkPack. We're outnumbered, and we don't have all trained wolves! The pups are in danger! They know we took the pups of Thunderblood and Bloodpetal from DarkPack, they will try slaughtering Raven and Twinkle first. He bit into the black wolf and used his force of energy into his back paws, narrowing his eyes. It was just a few moons ago I ended by training as a trainee, now I have more responsibility as a full legend who took on the wolf who fostered me's son. I will do this for Arrow and my pack. His legs were burning with energy, red lightning surrounding them, he kicked the black wolf and watched as he flung across the clearing and into a tree that had been harmed by the forest fire, almost a moon ago. The brown he-wolf gazed around, all of his packmates were viciously fighting with their lives, including Raven and Snowy's kin who were trainees. Slate and her siblings were in a ditch in the den-arena, shaded by a large rock, as Twinkle had hoped they would be blacked out enough that no DarkPack ghosts would notice them. It was too late, Thunderblood jumped in front of Luke.
"My kin..." he rasped.
"Not anymore." Luke snarled.
"You're wrong, you filthy dirtwolf. These pups belong in DarkPack's paws!" Thunderblood's eyes turned to a yellowish-red. His mate Bloodpetal padded beside him, growling. She looked at her pups with anger.
"Disgraces to my father." she huffed.
"Then leave them. If they're such a disgrace to DarkPack and Dark Lord."
"No! DarkPack needs as many dark wolves as it can get.." Bloodpetal turned, her eyes growing into a darker red.
"We will fight." Thunderblood growled. Luke realized that they needed a pack to ally with. They were outnumbered, the trainees weren't fully trained as well. They needed advanced legend wolves. He randomly chose a close pack in his mind and barked for Featherbreeze to protect the pups in the ditch as he left without telling his alphas' or beta.

As he was heading out, he saw Timber wheezing from stress of trying to fight.
"You won't kill anyone!" she barked breathlessly.
"We can easily kill this one first, she's lean and as weak as a hare." two DarkPack wolves laughed. Timber doesn't like to be helped because she feels as if it's an indirect way of calling her weak, but she will die in being succumbed by her lung issue while getting slaughtered by DarkPack wolves who are way beyond her experience levels. Luke ran over and grabbed her scruff, while his paws thundered against the ground.
"I could've- fought- them!" Timber wheezed.
"No." was all Luke responded.

He eventually made it to the rocky path and howled at the nearest scented FirePack patrol. Dash and Fawni were leading with Cameron and Rainleaf following.
"Oh a surprise- the wolf who's accused FirePack of spying on SkullPack." Dash frowned.
"Honey!" Fawni put her tail over Dash's mouth. "What's wrong, Luke?" The brown and gray he-wolf dipped his head gratefully.
"SkullPack's in trouble, I don't know if you know- but one of your wolves- Russetleap, has been contaminated with a sickness by DarkPack. I saw him when I came back from hunting, he murmured 'DarkPack' as his eyes rolled back into his head. They attacked us and we're outnumbered, they probably have contaminated a pack member of mine already, they're also contaminating our prey to have us starve and kill us off that way. That's the answer to the unusual shortage of prey in this warming-season. Our healer wolf Goldenglow and a few wolves have left on a mission."
"So that's why my son's with Misty! Foxfur's worried like crazy." Cameron woofed.
"Yes, but we need your help." Luke's eyes trailed down to Timber in his grip.
"I'll bring her to Misty for mending." Dash's gaze was serious and he nodded towards Luke, he gently took the young black she-wolf out of his jaws and raced to FirePack's den-arena.
"Meanwhile Dash does that, go tell Wolfystorm we need to send many wolves to SkullPack territory while defending our den-arena. Cameron and I will head with Luke to fight now." Fawni commanded Rainleaf. The silver she-wolf nodded, and ran to the alphas' den in FirePack's den-arena.
Fawni nodded and they ran, her purple and white fur transitioning into a dark and light gray. Luke ranged his hearing to still hear battle cries.
"Twinkle.." Cameron's gaze was confident as he thought about fighting for his former mate he still loved. Luke narrowed his eyes.
