Bullet stretched as the sun warmed her pelt. Her father, Snowy, was sitting outside of the alphas' den, pondering. "Can I go for a walk?" she asked.
"Suit yourself." Snowy yawned and curled up on the grassy bedded ground.

Bullet ran through the undergrowth enjoying the warming-season breeze run through her pelt. A loud growl alerted her and she stopped dead in her tracks, turning tail and sniffing the air. The scent wasn't wolf, it was the scent of a male dog.
"Territory intruder!" Bullet howled to her pack. Snowy, Luke, Arrow, Frostcrow, and Fenix raced over in a rush.
"I recognize the scent." Snowy snarled, his canine teeth gleaming in the sunlight. "Winston, the hunting dog."
"Hunters?!" Arrow's pupils were saucers.
"Yes, this could be apart of your training session for today." Luke acknowledged. The tan, black, and brown massive male dog leapt out of hiding in an elder bush. As Bullet examined the dog, he had pointed ears and dark brown eyes, and his tongue lolled from his mouth, panting. The crunch of dead leaves that fell during fallingleaf-season alerted the group of SkullPack wolves and Winston, the hunter stepped out with some large tool in his paws.
"Good boy, Winston." the hunter laughed, the fuzzy cloud of gray fur hanging from his chin as his muzzle moved.
"What is that black thing?" Arrow sniffed towards the tool.
"Back away!" Luke growled, hauling Arrow away. "That's his gun, stay still everyone."
"These imbecilic wolves won't be hunting our elk fur, and we'll be sure to take their heads after they're shot." The hunter aimed his gun at Snowy's chest, about to fire. Snowy snarled, and pounced on the gun, throwing it into the terrain as the trigger broke.
"My gun!" The hunter turned to the wolves with eyes of blazing fire. Snowy howled to SkullPack in a warn as he ran off with a lash of his tail in a signal.
"Dogs!" The hunter screamed for his other hunting companions, as the wolves heard many aggressive barks heading their way.
"We're outnumbered." Luke sighed as he looked at the herd of muscular hunting dogs.
"But we're wolves and they're just dogs!" Bullet pointed out.
"Just dogs, you say?" A white dog with black spots and a black nose with the tiniest bit of pink, jumped onto Bullet, biting into her. I haven't completed my training! I just need to use the skills I have. Before Bullet's eyes, streams of dogs' pelts were flashing past her. Snowy's howl sounded throughout the forest again, and more SkullPack wolves raced out. His mate Raven, and Bullet's mother, snarled loudly, and kicked a dog in the face with a back flip, scoring her claws down the dog's stomach. Bullet reached out a paw with aspiration, and pushed the dog's muzzle away while kicking the dog in the chest. Her opponent whimpered, and fled. Another dog, who was a faster runner, squared Bullet up against the dusty terrain. The dog also had more muscle, and had brown fur with lighter brown splotches. A flash of fire lit up her vision in the sky, and a white wolf with flaming red and orange hair at the top, with tinges of yellow, and gray-blackish ear tips and chest fur, as well as a red-orangish tail, kicked the dog off of Bullet with force.
"What the-" Bullet stood up and shook the dirt out of her pelt, looking around for the fiery wolf who saved her.
"Don't thank me." The white wolf was a he-wolf, with gigantic red phoenix wings. His eyes stared into Bullet's, they were blue with the tiniest but of purple and smoky gray.
"Did you really think that was providential? I could fight off that dirt-dog myself!" Bullet growled slightly.
"You wouldn't survive that, no offense of course. You're still small." His black paws stood neatly together and he sat tall, Bullet couldn't hold back the wave of admiration for him, and watched as his lustrous red-orangish hair in between his ears whipped around in the soft breeze.
"But it's a dumb dog!" Bullet snarled louder with a small amount of hesitation doing so, "I don't need help."
"You sure? That dog looked like he was crushing you." the phoenix wolf laughed.
"It's whatever. What's your name anyways?" Bullet's voice softened, now interested.
"I'm Fire. I come from the land of PhoenixForest, my parents don't care about me, so I live on my own in the mountains. Not too far from here. I didn't trek to save you."
"Oh, I'm Bullet. Why don't your parents care about you?" Bullet felt a wave of empathy for the he-wolf.
"They just didn't I guess, they have their reasons, valid or not. To an extent they were nice to me, but I guess it was nothing."
"I'm sorry." The she-wolf held her paw back and drew it against the ground.
"Not your fault, anyways, I have to go." Fire took off with a flap of his phoenix wings, soaring across the big blue sky.

"Woah." Bullet sighed, turning tail to see that the battle had just ended the second Fire left. All the dogs had fought SkullPack except for surprisingly, Winston.
"Off our territory, now!" Snowy bared his teeth in a wide snarl, his nose pointing directly to Winston.
"Wait, can I explain?-" Winston showed no aggression or intimidation.
"Go ahead, then you must leave." Raven spoke before Snowy, calmly, but slightly stern and unsure.
"Well, I want to retire from being a hunting dog. I have realized it just isn't right, and I want to apologize for causing you harm. My master is driving away without me currently, he abandoned me. He was the main source of your harm. I'm very sorry." Winston plied off his spiked collar for trained hunting dogs, and threw off his hunting vest.
"Is this a trick?" Luke growled, softer than usual.
"I believe him." Katie's tail rose in curiosity, sniffing the former hunting dog.
"I'm not joking." Winston acknowledged Luke, then thanking Katie with a nod, his dark brown eyes filled with solemn as in the time he almost slaughtered Katie, when she was drowning in the rapid stream.
"Well, what are you implying that you're going to do now?" Raven asked with her blue eyes filled with curiosity, as in she knew what he was going to ask.
"I was wondering if I could join SkullPack." Winston barked with hesitation. The wolves exchanged unsure and accusing glances but Raven stepped closer to the tan dog.
"I am willing to test this." Raven admitted, with barks of surprise following after. "But you are NOT an official pack member, you are a guest of ours to see how loyal you are, and sincere for everything you've done." The black she-wolf put her head on Winston's, signaling respect and welcome. Snowy hesitantly did the same, shrinking away fast. Frostcrow nudged his shoulder. Then Raven lead SkullPack into the den-arena again, Goldenglow had his head facing down with tears cresting his eyes. Bullet padded over.

"Are you okay?" she asked.
"Don't worry, it was your great grandmother-" The golden he-wolf sniffled.
"What?!" Bullet felt a wave of shock pass through her.
"Never mind, the point is, I need to go to Crystal Valley. And I need to take a few wolves along with me."
"Where's that?"
"It's far beyond the mountains, and I told Raven about everything already. And- well, will you come with me?" Goldenglow looked at her seriously. Bullet thought about Fire mentioning how he lived in the mountains, and got the excitement and energy to trek with Goldenglow to Crystal Valley, her tail rose up high.
"Yes!" she agreed.
"Wonderful, your brother Arrow and cousin Storm are coming along, as well as your maybe friend Silverwing." Goldenglow's golden eyes reflected the sunlight that danced with what seemed like joy.
"Yes, but why are we going?" Bullet asked.
"I can't say." Goldenglow's expression darkened with concern. "I just hope the packs are cared, even the tiniest bit, by HeavenPack."

"We're leaving now!" Goldenglow hollered to Raven, Snowy, and Frostcrow after the four wolves took their travel plants so they won't be hungry right away.
"Take care of my son!" Frostcrow howled.
"Bye Arrow and Bullet, good luck!" Snowy and Raven shouted to two of their pups.
"Have a good trip." Twinkle barked quietly from the pups' den to Silverwing.
"Remember your skills, Arrow." Luke woofed, his eyes turned to Silverwing quick then back to the black and white he-wolf.
The four wolves nodded their thanks and walked out of the den-arena with confidence.
