Baby hands reach for the sky,
baby feet that I know were mine
Baby kisses spread along your cheek
Baby hair that is so sleek
Baby footsteps to go where you go
Baby crawls all the way so
Why do babies cry?
Because my baby, baby, baby
doesn't want to say bye-bye.

"Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end, as your lies crumble down, a new life she has found. One day she will tell you that she has had enough. It's coming 'round again. Face down in the dirt, she says, 'This doesn't hurt,' she says, 'I've finally had enough.' Face down in the dirt, 'This doesn't hurt,' she says, 'I've finally had enough.'"—Face Down, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
Author's note: I swear, this was by far the most emotional chapter I've written. EVER. I wanted to cry for Kitana super bad.
Kitana's P.O.V.
2 Months later
I kissed Daegon on the forehead, stroking my fingers through his long dark brown hair as he let his hands rest on my stomach., his thumbs stroking the life inside affectionately. It seemed that everything was doing just fine. The baby was due to arrive in a few days, my mood has been elevated since I've been seeing my friends more frequently, and Daegon has not been violent.
Everything is falling into place.
Mmm," Daegon said, sliding his mouth along my neck. The stubble along his jaw tickled my skin; it felt so fuzzy and warm, like a cat.
"What?" I whispered.
"You taste . . . delicious." He pressed his mouth to my cheek. "I can't believe it, in a few days, our little miracle will be born." He caressed my belly again.
I giggled. "That's right. September 10. He or she better get out of here soon. I hate having my bladder being squeezed." I got up then, putting a hand against my back as I got out the chair. Daegon supported me by wrapping his arms around my shoulders.
"Easy does it," he murmured. His hands held mine securely as I stood on my own two feet. "At a girl. Do you need to go to the restroom?"
"No, just needed to stretch." I replied, and moved my arms above my head, groaning lightly. "Much better."
"Good to know. And just a little thing, your new band member, Genevieve, is coming to see you."
"See me?" I gasped. "Oh, holy apple pie."
"What, what is it?" Daegon immediately looked at me with concern. His eyes going to the baby, then me.
Pain had went across my stomach for a split second, like I was being ripped in half, and I gave a small yelp, and exhaled heavily as it was over. I didn't want to say the possibility of what it was—Daegon would surely flip around and have a mini-heart-attack.
